The NBA Odds have Chicago as a -3 favorite, with a total of 192 ½. Days after playing in Miami will Chicago have enough to beat up on the hapless Magic, or will Orlando hurt the Bulls’ chances at the 6th seed.
I think Chicago is the smart way to lean with our NBA picks. They are always undervalued on the road this season, going 22-18 ATS when playing away from the UC, and Chicago has also covered three of their last five trips to Orlando. With all the injuries for both sides, I think the Bulls have more than enough to compete and win against the Magic.
Even though they did play yesterday, Chicago had some extra time off because of the afternoon start. Chicago isn’t that bad when playing on the second night of a back to back, as they are 9-9 ATS in that same scenario.
The Bulls’ Luol Deng and Carlos Boozer will be the main forces tonight for Chicago, and the Magic will have little to no resistance to those guys. Orlando is still without four of their would be starters, and I just can’t see them having enough offense tonight against an angry and more than effective defensive unit.
On top of that, the Magic’s defense has been awful recently. They are giving up 102 points per game this season, and even though Chicago does have their issues at scoring on the road, I see them taking this game tonight. The Magic are still too young, too shallow and not good enough to beat teams in their current state. I’m laying the points with the Bulls tonight, and I’m adding them to my sports betting ticket tonght.
