The Los Angeles Clippers (41-21) visit Chesapeake Energy Arena to battle the Oklahoma City Thunder (43-20). The Thunder are favored by 5.5 points on the NBA odds board and the total is set at 215.5.

Los Angeles Clippers
The Los Angeles Clippers have won three of their last four games to remain in fourth place in the Western Conference standings, one and a half game behind the Thunder. The Clippers are coming off a convincing 109-90 road win against the Mavericks last Monday. Chris Paul led the way with 27 points and DeAndre Jordan had 23 points and 20 rebounds.

The Clippers score 104.9 points per game (sixth in the league) and shoot 46.2 percent from the floor (seventh in the NBA) and 36.2 percent from three-point range (sixth in the league) and they pull down 42.9 rebounds per game. Oklahoma City Thunder
The Oklahoma City Thunder have lost four of their last six games, though they're coming off a 104-96 road win against the Milwaukee Bucks last Sunday. Kevin Durant had 32 points and 12 rebounds and Russell Westbrook posted his 10th triple-double of the season with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Oklahoma City built a big early lead and eventually held on.

The Thunder average 110.0 points per game (second in the league) on 47.5 percent shooting overall (third in the NBA) and 35.2 percent shooting from three-point range and they pull down a league-best 48.0 rebounds per game. Defensively, Oklahoma City allows 103.2 points per game and their opponents shoot 44.1 percent from the floor and 34.7 percent from beyond the arc and grab 40.4 rebounds per game. Kevin Durant leads the Thunder with 28.1 points and 8.3 rebounds, Russell Westbrook averages 24.1 points per game and team-bests with 10.3 assists and 2.1 steals and Serge Ibaka adds 12.9 points, 7.0 rebounds and a team-best 2.0 blocks.

Betting Trends
A total of 19 of 37 games in this series at Oklahoma City have gone Over. Four of the last seven games in this series at Oklahoma City have gone Over in the last three seasons. However, the Over is 25-34 in all Clippers games this season and 3-10 in the second half of the season. The Over is 28-35 in all Thunder games this season, 12-21 in their home games and 2-9 when playing with 2 days rest.

The Over is 2-4-1 in the Clippers' last seven games and 3-5 in the Thunder's last eight games.

Final Analysis
The Thunder are a 5.5-point favorite on the NBA odds board and the total has been set at 215.5. This will be the third meeting of the season between these two teams, and the series is 1-1, with both games going 'Under.' Overall trends might suggest these two teams going 'Over' the total, but their latest games and recent series history, along with a high total of 215.5 for tonight make me lean towards 'Under' as my NBA pick.
