One of the finest inter-conference games on the Friday slate happens in the City of Brotherly Love with the Kings coming to town. With this giant spread, is there value in either side of these lines?

Jordan’s NBA Picks: 38-20

Sacramento (33-34 SU & 39-27 ATS) at Philadelphia (43-25 SU & 32-36 ATS)

Friday, 7:00 PM EST

Free NBA Pick: UNDER

Best Line Offered: Bookmaker

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":3568888, "sportsbooksIds":[93,999998,169,19,1096], "LineTypeId":3, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]

The Sixers made Indiana and Cleveland look pretty poor on offense over the last two games that Joel Embiid has been back from injury, but an even bigger test comes to town on Friday in the Kings. Can Philadelphia slow down this fast-paced Western Conference playoff contender?

Philly Home Defense, Kings’ Underrated Defense

The Sixers have one of the better home court advantages in the NBA. Their fans are loud and obnoxious and their star players feed off this and they thrive on defense. Since the All-Star Break, the Sixers have held opponents to just 105.6 points per 100 possessions at home.

That’s impressive on multiple levels, but it’s most impressive that they did it without Embiid for four of those six home games. Not only does Embiid being back help the defense, it has jumpstarted an offense that was lagging somewhat without their leading scorer.

On the other side you have a Kings team that has held their own defensively this season. They still play at a rapid pace which makes their games become higher scoring. However, if you look at the amount of points they give up per 100 possessions, they are in the middle of the pack.

They have also been successful this season playing on the road against the East. They are only 7-7 SU in those 14 games, but they own a defensive rating of 108.3, which ranks them 10th best in road defense against the Eastern Conference.

Combine all this together and 232 points is way too much at this point in the season and between these two teams. While both teams are likely to get well over 100 possessions, I could easily see a game where one or both teams fail to score 110 points.

The Sharp Pick

We are also following some strong under trends between these two teams. Recently both have been great 'under' plays. Philly has cashed the under in eight straight games leading into Friday night, while the Kings have cashed the under in five of their last six games.

Taking a look at the Kings’ season, it’s been the tale of two sides to a total. They opened the year cashing the over at 28-13 in the first half of their schedule. Since then they have cashed the under at 22-6.

Since that hallway point mark in the Kings’ season, they have been even more committed on defense. They own a defensive rating of 107.5 in that stretch, which ranks sixth-best in the league during that more than two-month span.

Don’t let the fast pace deceive you, both of these teams can play good defense. It will be on display Friday as both are fighting for positioning with just three weeks left in the regular season.

Final Score Prediction: Kings 109 – 76ers 117
