Jordan’s NBA Picks: 53-35
Denver (53-27 SU & 42-38 ATS) at Utah (49-31 SU & 42-36 ATS)

We lost a bad play on Utah a few nights ago when the Lakers shocked pretty much everyone and likely gave the sportsbooks a hefty win on that lone game. However, the Jazz should be motivated to bounce back on Tuesday, especially with a win locking up the fifth seed.
Nuggets Have Little Left To Play For
The situation for the Nuggets tonight is a little dicey. On one hand, a win would all but guarantee their spot in the two seed in the West, but a loss and a Rockets win could put them in danger of falling down to the three seed.
It might not matter to the Nuggets in the end, who rested some of their starters in the last game, but I could see them throwing in the towel and resting guys once again on Tuesday.
The Rockets have a tough road to a win on Tuesday as they are playing on the road against a desperate Oklahoma City team, so there is no guarantee that they get a win on Tuesday to put pressure on Denver.
Plus, the Rockets are playing their season finale tonight, so they need to win and hope that Denver loses both of their remaining games in order to move up. However, the Nuggets probably look at their schedule and know they have a much better chance of winning on Wednesday at home against a tanking Wolves team than they do on the road in Utah tonight.
With that in mind, I could see the Nuggets starters getting some more rest on Tuesday. Even if they don’t, there is little reason to play them all 35 minutes in a somewhat meaningless game. If Mike Malone looks at this game and thinks about what could be lose opposed to the very little that can be gained, I think he will opt for safety and limit or outright rest some of his core players again.
The Sharp Pick
Even if that doesn’t happen, the Jazz still look like a fine play at the current NBA Odds. Denver has not looked good even when they have played everyone lately. The Nuggets are just 4-5 SU and ATS over their last nine games, so they are beatable in any circumstance tonight.
Utah is dealing with some injuries of their own, but Derrick Favors will be back tonight, which is a boost to both their offense and frontcourt depth. Even with the guard injuries the Jazz have been dealing with, at home that won’t play as much as it would on the road.
I see Denver taking the cautious approach with this game, even if they play everyone. Look for them to go for the win on Wednesday instead and leave this game for Utah to win and cover.
Final Score Prediction: Nuggets 105 – Jazz – 109
