A teaser might be the best way to attack this game. The Blazers’ defense is one of the worst, while the Pistons’ road defense isn’t that impressive. However, Detroit has the wing defense to slow down C.J. McCollum and maybe even win outright.
I can’t figure out the Pistons. No one can. However, that’s what makes the so intriguing in spots like this. They will convince you they are a good team before going into the dumpster for a week, but right now it appears we’re on a high for the Pistons.
Detroit’s defense may not be clicking right now, but that’s exactly what makes these NBA Odds so valuable. Detroit has allowed over 111 points per game in their last five, and they have been playing teams close.
Even with the return of Damian Lillard, Portland’s defense is one of the worst in the league. If Kentavious Caldwell-Pope can lock in on C.J. McCollum, Lillard can go for 40 points and the Blazers can still lose.
With all that in mind, a teaser is where I’m looking for this one. Detroit’s well-rounded unit can get double-figure scoring from more than a half-dozen guys. When they are playing together and they are engaged on defense, this team is playoff caliber in the East. I think they show it tonight coming off their win against the Hornets.
