We nailed both of our NBA Picks of the day on Sunday to close the week off right, and after hitting on seven of my last 10 NBA Picks, I am back here for Monday’s slate of NBA Odds.

Pacers vs. Cavaliers
I was at the Pacers and Blazers game last night in Indianapolis, and the Pacers once again look pretty bad. It has been a theme for this season for the Pacers to look really good, then look really bad and repeat. Now they face a really tough matchup on the second half of a back to back, as they head into Cleveland to play the Cavaliers, and the NBA Odds have the Cavs as -8 ½ home favorites, with a total of 206 ½.

While the Pacers’ inconsistency is a problem when trying to handicap them, it is also a good thing when they are on a down turn to potentially fade them on a nice like tonight. The Pacers come into this one losers of three of their last four, and while they have played the Cavaliers, their first trip to Cleveland they didn’t have to play Kyrie Irving or Iman Shumpert, both of which will be in action tonight.

On top of that, the Pacers have been awful this season on no rest. For the season, the Pacers are only 3-8 ATS when playing on no rest, and the only team that has a worse mark than that this season on the back to back is Charlotte at 2-7 ATS. Tonight with the Cavaliers healthy and the Pacers coming in after playing last night and traveling, I see the Cavs taking care of business.

Even though the Cavs played yesterday as well, they played in the afternoon in Washington, DC, and then had what I’m sure was a quick flight to Cleveland. Those extra six or eight hours are going to do wonders for the Cavs tonight, so lay the points and hope that the Pacers’ recent struggles continue for at least one more night.

Jazz vs. Celtics
The Celtics have been one of the more fun teams to cheer for this season considering how well they have done for bettors at times this season, and hopefully tonight will be no different with the Jazz coming to town. The NBA Odds have the Celtics as -6 favorites in this one, and while the spread is intriguing, the total of 202 ½ is a little better in my opinion. After opening at 199, the total is skyrocketing upward, and I want in on the action.

While the Jazz are normally thought of as a team to bet the under with, their play at home opposed to on the road this season has been night and day, especially recently. The Jazz have been speeding up the pace more at times, and while it has hurt them at times, it has helped them too. Now against a Celtics team that is averaging 112 points per game in the month of February, and the over looks like a fantastic play.

Boston is also giving up nearly 108 points per game this month as well, and if you look at Utah’s recent games on the road, their defense and offense have been running up the scores. In their last four road games, the Jazz are giving up 109 points per game, and even if you stretch it out, since the beginning of the 2016 calendar year, Utah is allowing 103 points per game on the road.

Utah has now cashed the over in five of their last eight games overall, and the over is now 6-2 in their last eight road games. Boston on the other hand is 7-1 in their last eight games cashing the over, and I see them doing it again tonight as the sharp NBA pick.
