Welcome to the final day of the NBA regular season! It’s a big night of action and with some playoff spots still to be decided, I am here to get us going on the right foot with two of my NBA Expert Picks.

 Bucks vs. Celtics

The Bucks have officially clinched the 6th seed in the East and for the final game of the season, they will rest pretty much all of their important players. Combine that against the Celtics tonight, who need just one win to clinch the number one seed in the East.

Without Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Tony Snell, the Bucks’ defense will have officially disappeared. Their offense is all gone for that matter as well and with the C’s motivated and probably wanting to go into the playoffs with momentum, I like them to cover the spread here despite it being 14 points.

However, a teaser might be the better play here if you combine it with the over. While the Bucks will have no offense, they could still get to 90 points against a weak Celtics team that is probably going to let up some after the first half. If that happens, the danger of a back-door cover is very real even with the Bucks missing a ton of players. It is for that reason I like the C’s here on a five-point teaser, combined with the over in what could be a faster-paced game for both teams.

 Pistons vs. Magic

The Magic are in a unique spot against the Pistons tonight. While this game means absolutely nothing in regards to the standings, a loss here combined with a Sixers loss would be huge for the Magic. They would finish behind the Sixers and would own the fourth-best NBA odds to win the lottery.

While that may not seem like a huge deal, a top five pick in this draft is huge and the higher they can get the better. As you may have noticed from their play over the last few days, the Magic have been tanking hard. They got beat down by the Bulls two nights ago and they have allowed an average of almost 120 points per game in their last five.

The Pistons, on the other hand, are in full evaluation mode and I doubt many of their stars play big minutes, or even at all tonight. With the Magic being at home, they will want to put on a show for their fans, but they also might do that by playing no defense.

That has been the trend for the Magic since being eliminated from the playoffs. They have cashed the over in five of their last six games and they have also cashed the over in six of their last nine home games. Look for a similar result tonight.
