The Nets are looking to slow down Charlotte's momentum and the Pacers will try to take care of a Wizards team that has not shown much interest in winning basketball games this season.

The Charlotte Hornets are coming off of a much-needed win against the Wizards, coming out of the All-Star break. Charlotte is now in the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference playoff race, just one game behind the Nets for sixth place. Luckily for Charlotte their schedule is turning much more favorable over the duration of the season, starting with the Brooklyn Nets who struggle mightily at covering on the road with a mark of 14-17 ATS away from home.

The Nets have been testing out some new lineup combinations, too, as they get healthier for the stretch run. Caris LeVert, averaging 16.6 points, has been back for four games after recovering from a foot injury that cost him nearly three months. Veteran forward Jared Dudley (hamstring) returned Thursday after missing 16 games. Guard Allen Crabbe has been back for five games after missing 26 because of a right knee injury. He is averaging 18.0 points in the past four games.

The Nets are a high volume three-point shooting team, shooting 35.2 three point attempts per game, but only making 34.7 percent of those shots. Brooklyn had hit at least 10 three pointer in 12 straight games before going 9-34 against the Golden State Warriors this week. In the Nets’ to other meetings against Charlotte this season, they shot 19-77 from three point range.

While Brooklyn is not good at making three point shots, they are very good at covering spreads this season, as the are 33-27 ATS on the season. As far as the game total of points, the Nets give up 110 points per game, which third from last in the NBA. Look for not only the Nets to cover the spread against the Hornets, but for them to do so in exciting fashion as they give up a lot of points.

The Indiana Pacers, having rediscovered their groove after Victor Oladipo's season-ending injury, will look for their seventh victory in their last eight games when they take on the Washington Wizards.

The Pacers steadied the ship after losing their first four games without Oladipo, who suffered a ruptured quad tendon in his right knee on Jan. 23. Indiana's latest victory came Friday night against the New Orleans Pelicans. Wesley Matthews scored 15 of his 24 points during a third-quarter rally, and Domantas Sabonis had 18 points and 13 rebounds and Bojan Bogdanovic added 20 points for Indiana.

Matthews, playing his third game with the Pacers since signing as a free agent after the trade deadline, finished one point below his season high. He was waived after playing two games for the New York Knicks, who acquired him in a trade with the Mavericks on Jan. 31.

Indiana's recent winning hasn't come against a Murderers' Row of competition. Three victories came against teams with losing records, while the best win was against the Los Angeles Clippers. But the Pacers are doing what they have to do and are hanging on to the third spot in the Eastern Conference, ahead of Philadelphia and Boston. Kye O’Quinn made his first start with the Pacers, replacing Myles Turner who is out day-to-day with a hip injury. O’Quinn will have his hands full with Thomas Bryant and Bobby Portis of the Wizards.

Washington is struggling mightily at staying in games this season and squandered a great opportunity for them to get back in the playoff race by losing to the Hornets to start their ost All-Star run. Bradley Beal score a season-high 46 points and that still was not enough to get the Wizards a win. At this point in the season it appears as if Washington will be much better off losing games to get a better draft slot than to win and try and make the playoffs.

This game started as a pick ‘em, but is now up to as high as Washington being favored by two points. Smart bettors will take the Pacers and the points in a Eastern Conference duel.
