It is never easy going against the Warriors at any time or any place. Tonight though I think we have them in a decent spot to go against the best team in the league for our Free NBA pick.

NBA Odds
NBA Odds makers have come out making New Orleans of +5 underdog at home, but at most places that has dropped to +4. For one of my NBA picks today I suggest taking New Orleans getting the points and expect them to play their best game of the year. You can still get good odds at this number like at Heritage sports -105. Let's look at their first matchup earlier this week.

Golden State
At home against the Pelicans the Warriors scored hundred 111 points, shot 42.7% from the field, and 30% from distance. Stephen Curry was on fire in the first quarter and ended up scoring 40 points off of 15-26 shooting from the field, and 5-12 from beyond the arc. What impressed me most in this matchup is the fact that they outrebounded New Orleans 56-33. They looked primed to make another strong run this season as they have all their basic pieces back and they are going to be a very difficult team to beat, period. I thought they looked solid last night against Houston.

New Orleans Pelicans
Against Golden State New Orleans scored 95 points, shot 42.2% from the field, and 33.3% from beyond the arc. Anthony Davis ended up scoring 18 points, but he actually had a pretty poor game going 4-20 from the field. Starting point guard Jrue Holiday did not play against Golden State in the first matchup but I believe he will play tonight, and that could be a difference. He didn't play great against Portland the other night but he is a solid NBA point guard and could be a key factor in this game.

Starting off the year with a back to back going from playing Golden State to play Portland was not an easy task for the Pelicans. This showed in the stat sheet as a shot only 39.6% from the field against the Trailblazers, and again got outrebounded 51-39. Within Alvin Gentry as the coach getting outrebounded is not such a surprise because he wants his teams to get out in the transition. Right now, it'll be interesting to see if this New Orleans personnel matches up with his style of coaching. They definitely have the athletes to run and I think they will be excited at this second chance against Golden State.

With Golden State coming off a back to back I think this is the one rare occasion in which there is value going against them. For one of your NBA Picks I recommend taking the points with New Orleans and look for them to play a much better game than they did in the first matchup. This is the Warriors first time playing off a back to back this season and it will be interesting to see how they perform.
