Eight games on the NBA schedule Sunday in case you want a break from NFL betting or choose to parlay your basketball action with some pro football. Here are four matchups SBR took a particular interest on NBA odds. All times Eastern.

Kings vs. Thunder (+3.5, 195)
Covered by Darin
SBR starts the schedule with a 7 p.m. tipoff. Oklahoma City is in chaos at 1-5, amid reports that Serge Ibaka and Kendrick Perkins froze out teammate Reggie Jackson in a recent game. Why they would freeze out the only healthy scoring option on the team is a bit odd. Especially since Oklahoma City is last in the NBA in scoring. The Thunder lost 91-89 at home against Memphis on Friday. Jackson had 22 points, eight assists and seven rebounds. The Kings are one of the NBA's surprises at 5-1 and beat the Suns 114-112 in overtime on Friday. DeMarcus Cousins had 25 points and a season-high 18 rebounds. Sacramento rallied from a 12-point deficit in the fourth quarter.

Heat vs. Mavericks (-6, 205)
Covered by Jason
We shift to Dallas for this 7:30 p.m. tip. Tough second of a back-to-back for Miami as it hosted Minnesota on Saturday night. No rest problems for Dallas as it has been off since a 105-82 win in Utah on Friday. Dirk Nowitzki scored 27 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. The future Hall of Famer now has 26,913 career points, moving within 33 points of Hakeem Olajuwon on the NBA all-time scoring list. Dallas ranks No. 2 in the NBA in scoring.

Nuggets vs, Trail Blazers (-9, 205)
Covered by Doug
It's a 9 p.m. tipoff from the Pacific Northwest in this one. Denver wasn't up to the task of handing Cleveland a third straight loss on Friday as the Nuggets were beaten 110-101 at home by the Cavaliers. Randy Foye scored 28 points for the Nuggets, who have dropped four in a row. Denver played without point guard Ty Lawson after he was scratched due to a sore left ankle. Thus his availability will affect this line as Lawson is arguably Denver's best player. When making your NBA picks keep in mind that Portland might be a bit off as it had to play a matinee on Saturday at the Clippers before flying back home.

Hornets vs.Lakers (+3.5, 204.5)
Covered by Joe C.
The Lakers look for their first win of the season in this 9:30 p.m. tip, the latest of Sunday's games. At 0-5, Los Angeles is off to its worst start since the 1957-58 Minneapolis Lakers lost their first seven games. Yes, Minneapolis Lakers. Kobe Bryant jacked up 37 shots in Tuesday's home loss to Phoenix. So at least the Lakers will be rested. The Hornets won Friday night at home against Atlanta in double overtime. Lance Stephenson hit a lucky 3-point bank shot to win at the buzzer. Charlotte's Michael Kidd-Gilchrist returned to the starting lineup after missing the previous two games with a rib injury.
