The Washington Wizards have been the biggest mess in the NBA this season considering their expectations. Any chance they pull an upset Friday night in Toronto? Bet confidently with tips from

My cohort Jason will look at Jazz-Lakers, while we tackle Wizards at Raptors.

No team has been more dysfunctional this season than Washington, which is playing way below its talent level. It’s a minor miracle that Coach Scott Brooks is still employed because every day you hear something different negative emanate from that franchise. Whether it’s John Wall cursing out Brooks, trade rumors involving Wall and Bradley Beal, Markieff Morris bitching about people in the locker room making this public, rumors about the firing of GM Ernie Grunfeld, etc. The Wizards aren’t very good but they have been full of drama.

Sometimes, though, one big victory can turn a season around. Perhaps that happened on Tuesday as the Wizards found themselves down as much as 24 points in the first half at home against the Clippers and hearing plenty of boo-birds but rallied for a 125-118 victory to snap a two-game skid. Wall had 30 points and Beal 27. If the Wiz drop that, I believe Brooks is fired immediately. He called it “an emotional win.”

However, Beal said this after: "Everything is not fixed. At the end of the day we can't be naive and say we won after being down 20. We were getting our asses kicked.”

Brooks made a few changes Tuesday, shifting Morris to a reserve role with Kelly Oubre starting and also starting seldom-used Thomas Bryant with Dwight Howard sidelined due to gluteal soreness. Why does it seem like every team with Howard on it implodes?

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

13th career triple-double for @Klow7 -- 21p | 17a | 12r#WeTheNorth ;/a>
— Toronto Raptors (@Raptors) November 22, 2018
\n\n"}[/]

Dinos Have NBA’s Best Record

The NBA-best Raptors already beat the Wizards once this year, taking a 117-113 decision on Oct. 20 in D.C. in the second of a back-to-back and without a resting Kawhi Leonard. Kyle Lowry was great with 28 points and 12 assists. OG Anunoby started in place of Leonard and contributed 12 points. Wall and Beal combined for 57 but got little help. Brooks was ejected in the game for gauging a call.

Toronto is 15-4 vs. Washington over the past five years. The Raptors knocked out the Wizards in six games in the first round of the East playoffs in April, winning all three home games easily.

The Dinos are off a 124-108 win in Atlanta on Wednesday in the second of a back-to-back, so Leonard didn’t play – he hasn’t yet in both ends of a B2B. Lowry was in some question but instead had his first triple-double of the season with 21 points, 17 assists and 12 rebounds. Jonas Valanciunas chipped in 24 points and 13 rebounds, and Pascal Siakam, one of the NBA’s most improved players, had 22 points. Toronto shot 53.3 percent. Anunoby (wrist) and C.J. Miles (adductor) both sat again.

Wizards are 3-12 ATS in their last 15 games following an ATS win.

Raptors are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight up win.

The Raptors started 7-0 at home but have lost their past two there. One was vs. New Orleans without Leonard and one on a last-second shot vs. Detroit. They have covered four straight at home vs. the Wizards, however, and that continues for a Friday NBA pick.
