The Hawks seem to be calling it a season by limiting their starters' minutes, but tonight they host the Timberwolves with a chance to play big. That could mean lots of scoring and a solid total wager with your NBA picks.

You now that look you give when you hear your name called out in a crowd and it’s your boy with some winning NBA picks?

Yeah, that’s the one. The Wolves are coming into this one with some shaky road play, and while I do think they can win tonight ATS, the 214½ total on the NBA odds board might be a better play.

The Wolves put up a bounce-back performance against the Nets recently on the defensive end, but they have gone back to being shaky on that end of the court. A lot of that had to do with the absence and now return of Jimmy Butler, but tonight against the Hawks, the Wolves’ offense is once again going to steal the show.

Minnesota is at the point where they know which teams they have to defend, and the Hawks are not one of them. Atlanta’s defense is bad enough to where the Wolves don’t really have to put up much effort on that end.

On top of that, the Wolves have allowed nearly 115 points per game over their last five, and the Hawks have been almost as equally as bad, giving up 112.2 points per game over their last five. Plus, Atlanta has allowed a total of 250 points over their last two games, so look for the Wolves to put up a big score tonight.
