Boston vs. Houston 8:05 PM ET
Boston has gone under the total in each of their last four, and six of their previous seven games. These teams have seen each of their previous six meetings go under the total, and there were a combined average of 191.3 points scored per game.

According to current NBA odds, the total in this contest is 207.5. Boston is coming off a 100-85 win as a 5.5 point road underdog against Oklahoma City in their previous game. Any road team (Boston) with a total of 200.0 to 209.5, coming off a road underdog straight up win by 10 points or more, resulted in those games going 32-7 (82.1%) under the total during the past five seasons. Those 39 contests averaged a combined 197.9 points scored per game.

Free NBA Pick: Play on under the total of 207.5 at 5Dimes

Portland vs. San Antonio 8:35 PM ET
San Antonio is once again doing yeoman’s work on the defensive end of the floor. The Spurs are allowing just 91.8 points per game this season, and have held opponents to just 42.1% shooting from the field. They’ve gone under the total in six of their previous eight games, and allowed 88 points or less in five of those contests. The Spurs are coming off a 92-83 home win over Philadelphia in their previous game.

Portland had their streak of seven consecutive games going over the total come to an end in their last outing. They sustained a 106-94 loss at Charlotte, and that game went under the total of 206.0. The Trailblazers enter today having allowed 101 points or more in each of their previous five games.

Any team (San Antonio) with a total of 200.0 to 209.5 that allowed 85 points or less in their previous game, versus an opponent (Portland) which allowed 100 points or more in each of their previous four games, resulted in those contests going 27-7 (79.4%) under the total during the past five seasons. I’m predicting a low scoring affair for one of my NBA picks on Monday.

Free NBA Pick: Play on under the total of 202.5 (-105) at Heritage
