Seeking boosted odds value today, I'm checking out traditional college basketball powers, a pair of productive bigs in the NBA, and two high-scoring NHL teams. Read on for the daily odds boosts.

From yesterday’s boosted odds, Cooper Kupp and Kyler Murray both came up short of receiving and rushing totals, respectively, but given how quickly the L.A. Rams pulled away from the Arizona Cardinals, that outcome was not entirely surprising.

LeBron James was within striking distance of a combined total of 50 points, rebounds, and assists in the fourth quarter when Stanley Johnson’s hot hand saw him get more crunch-time shots for the L.A. Lakers and LeBron finished with a total of 39.

There was at least some good news on the college basketball front as Indiana knocked off Nebraska and Delaware used overtime to defeat Northeastern, so the day was not an entirely lost cause.

Here are the top boosted odds plays for Tuesday's schedule:

Picks for Tuesday's Top Odds Boosts

Kansas, UConn, North Carolina all to win

Regular odds: +190BOOSTED ODDS: +250

The No. 7-ranked Kansas Jayhawks are 10-1 in their past 11 games, with a loss at Texas Tech their only blemish in that time. Tuesday, Kansas visits Oklahoma, and the Sooners have won seven of their past eight home games but have lost three of their past four games overall. Kansas is a four-point favorite, so this is not expected to be a blowout, but the Jayhawks have shown that they know how to finish the job.

Ranked No. 25, the Connecticut Huskies have slumped recently, with three wins and three losses in their past six games. They embark on a home-and-home series with the Butler Bulldogs this week. The Bulldogs have dropped three of their past four games and come into Tuesday's matchup as 13.5-point road underdogs.

North Carolina isn't ranked, but the Tar Heels are 9-2 since a couple of early-season losses to ranked teams from Purdue and Tennessee. This is the decidedly most difficult leg of the parlay, though as North Carolina visits a Miami Hurricanes team that just had a nine-game winning streak snapped by Florida State last week. North Carolina is a 2.5-point road favorite, but if all three come through, a 30% daily odds boost is enticing.

Towns & Randle 70+ points and rebounds

Regular odds: +210BOOSTED ODDS: +240

Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns has been enjoying an excellent all-around season and he scores more on the road, averaging 25.6 points along with 8.8 rebounds per game on the road. His average performance in those categories would put him at 34.4 combined points plus rebounds. He has combined for 35 points plus rebounds in six of his past 11 road games.

This season has not been as productive for Julius Randle, following his breakthrough 2020-2021 season. In 23 home games this season, Randle is averaging 19.9 points and 10 rebounds per game, which is still a quality contribution, but he has combined for 35 points plus rebounds just 10 times in 42 total games.

Requiring the two to combine for 70-plus points and rebounds is a big ask, but that's also why the payout is better and the daily odds boosts make it even more appealing.

Hurricanes & Bruins Over 1.5 1st-period goals

Regular odds: -110BOOSTED ODDS: +105

Offense is surging around the NHL since teams have returned from the December scheduling pause and the Carolina Hurricanes and Boston Bruins rank sixth (3.63 goals per 60 minutes) and ninth (3.54 goals/60), respectively, in all-situations goals per 60 minutes since the return to action.

In a game that has a total of 5.5, expecting the Hurricanes and Bruins to register a couple of goals in the first period is consistent with their recent performance and, with better than even odds, is worth a shot.
