The Los Angeles Clippers (46-27) visit the Target Center to battle the Minnesota Timberwolves (25-49). The Clippers are favored by 5.5 points on the NBA odds board and the total is set at 212.

Los Angeles Clippers
The Los Angeles Clippers are playing better as of late, winning three straight games, including an impressive 114-90 home victory against the Clippers last Monday. Austin Rivers led the way with 16 points off the bench, DeAndre Jordan had 15 points and 13 rebounds and Chris Paul added 13 points and 14 assists in just 26 minutes. Los Angeles is now five and a half games ahead of Memphis for fourth place in the Western Conference

The Clippers average 104.5 points per game (sixth in the league) and shoot 46.2 percent from the floor (eighth in the NBA) and 36.0 percent from three-point range (seventh in the league) and they pull down 42.1 rebounds per game. Los Angeles allows 100.8 points per game (10th in the NBA) and their opponents shoot just 43.7 percent overall (fourth in the league) and 34.3 percent from beyond the arc and grab 46.5 rebounds per game.

Chris Paul leads the team with 19.8 points, 9.9 assists and 2.1 steals, J.J. Redick averages 16.5 points per game, Jamal Crawford contributes with 13.7 points per game off the bench and DeAndre Jordan adds 12.9 points and team-bests with 14.0 rebounds and 2.3 blocks.

Minnesota Timberwolves
The Minnesota Timberwolves have won three of their last four games. The Timberwolves are coming off a close 121-116 home win against the Suns behind 32 points from Andrew Wiggins and 27 points and 10 rebounds from Karl-Anthony Towns.

The Timberwolves average 102.3 points per game on 46.3 percent shooting overall (seventh in the league) and 33.2 percent from beyond the arc and they grab 41.6 rebounds per game. Defensively, Minnesota gives up 106.0 points per game (24th in the NBA) and their opponents shoot 47.1 percent from the floor and 35.4 percent from three-point range and pull down 41.9 rebounds per game.

Andrew Wiggins leads the Timberwolves with 20.7 points per game, Karl-Anthony Towns averages 18.3 points and team-bests with 10.3 rebounds and 1.7 blocks and Zach LaVine adds 14.2 points per game.

Betting Trends
The Clippers are 34-36 ATS, 9-14 ATS when the total is greater than or equal to 210, 11-14 ATS in the second half of the season and 9-14 ATS after a win by 10 points or more.

The Timberwolves are 28-24 ATS as an underdog, 14-11 ATS in the second half of the season, 13-10 ATS after scoring 105 points or more and 21-14 ATS when playing against a team with a winning record.

Final Analysis
The Clippers are a 5.5-point favorite on the NBA odds board and the total has been set at 212. The Clippers lead the season series against the Timberwolves 2-1 but Minnesota played well in the two losses and they won the most recent meeting 108-102 on February 3 in Los Angeles. Andrew Wiggins finished with 31 points and Zack LaVine added 17 points off the bench while Chris Paul finished with 22 points and eight assists. The betting trends favor the Timberwolves and they have played well against the Clippers this season. Wiggins, Towns and LaVine will keep Minnesota in the game. I like the Timberwolves +5.5 at home for one of my NBA picks.
