The NBA Odds have LA as a -9 favorite in tonight’s game, with a total of 198 ½, and if the Bucks keep their recent scoring up, the Clippers will run through them with relative ease.
Bruising in the paint
The Clippers have a distinct advantage down low tonight, and it will likely lead to big nights for Blake Griffin and Deandre Jordan. Jordan leads the league in rebounding while Griffin should have a floor tonight of 20 points and 10 rebounds. The likelihood of LA jumping out to an early lead and coasting through this game is high because of how bad the Bucks have been on offense this season, especially at home.
Even though the Bucks play much better defense at home than on the road, the Clippers rebounding will trump Milwaukee’s tonight, and with little to no offense presence inside, Milwaukee will have to settle for threes and other long range jump shots. One shot and done for the Bucks might become a trend tonight. They are one of the league’s worst rebounding teams despite their solid home numbers on defense, and with only one strong rebounder, the Bucks can’t be physical with the Clippers.
Even Larry Sanders has played bad this year, which hurts the Bucks tremendously on both ends of the floor. Ever since he got paid, he has been a shell of his breakout-self from last season, and he will probably be dominated by the budding Jordan on the glass in this game. If LA doesn’t get past 100 points tonight, I will be shocked, and I think they easily have enough of an edge to cover.

The Sharp Pick
Milwaukee is only averaging 88 points per game when playing at home this year, which is dead last in the league. If they can’t score against predominantly East teams, than the Clippers should have no problem limiting them tonight. LA owns the battle down low, and I fully expect them to outrebound Milwaukee with ease tonight. Los Angeles will have all the easy baskets in the game, and their size advantage in the post for this one is going to lead to -9 being the play.
The Clippers are 12-9 ATS against the Eastern Conference this season, and while the Milwaukee defense is not bad at all, they won’t be able to stop the Clippers, even without Chris Paul. LA should get north of 100 points rather easily, and a blowout is likely considering the Bucks have scored 78 and 87 points in their last two games respectfully.
The Clippers have also been very good on the road this year when favored. In the 16 games they have been road favorites, the Clippers are 10-6 both SU and ATS. The Bucks on the other hand are horrible in any situation, but especially as home dogs. The Bucks have made a habit of being home underdogs this season and they are 5-13 ATS. LA will simply outclass the Bucks tonight on the road to an easy win and cover. My Pick: Clippers -9
