The nightcap pits the Clippers at home to the Jazz, and we're here to break down the NBA odds and see if there's an edge to be had with your NBA picks!

Odds Overview
Looking over the NBA odds, we see the Clippers favored by 4.5 points at most sportsbooks, although there is a spread of five available at a few sites if you act fast. The O/U is at 196.5, which is about in line with what we were expecting, considering the Jazz have had a lock-down defense this season, one they'll hope can be effective against a talented LA squad.

Los Angeles Clippers
The Clippers finally ended their losing streak (which had grown to three games) with a road win in Denver last night. They entered the matchup as the clear-cut favorites to win on the NBA betting lines board, and they came through by winning 114-94.

It was a great team effort all around, as all five starters reached double figures in scoring for Doc Rivers' team. Blake Griffin had 18 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block, Chris Paul went for 15 points, 10 dimes and three steals, and J.J. Redick, DeAndre Jordan and Wesley Johnson (who stepped into the starting lineup for this one) all held up their end of the bargain too. LA shot 46.8 percent overall from the floor and managed to win easily despite a strong effort from Denver's Danilo Gallinari.

The win pushed the Clippers to 7-7 overall, which is a poor record for a team as talented as they are. We need to see the bigger picture though and remember that there's a whole lot of season to go, and as long as CP3 and Griffin stay healthy, this team will be challenging among the top within the Western Conference.

Utah Jazz
Looking to avoid a third straight setback, the Jazz have dropped to 6-7, good for second place in the Northwest Division. While they've been very competitive most nights and have one of the better defenses in the league, Utah has not been performing well offensively, averaging just 94.6 points per game, the 29th-worst mark.

We last saw the Jazz take the court a couple nights ago in a 111-89 home loss to Oklahoma City. Utah was already going to have a tough time slowing down Russell Westbrook, who's a man on a mission right now, but then Kevin Durant was announced to be active shortly before tipoff, and the two of them ran the show throughout. The Jazz were outscored by 14 in the second quarter and then never got close to recovering from the hole.

Let's see if Utah will bounce back with a more competitive effort tonight in what should be another very tough assignment for them. We don't expect the Jazz to lay down and die by any means, but they're going to need to really step it up to have a chance of staying with LA here.

NBA Pick
The Clippers were in action last night and may be a little tired, but they were able to wrap up that win in Denver with ease down the stretch.

Back at home, and with CP3 healthy again, we think LA will get it done again this evening. We've been impressed with Utah overall and this team's defense can be truly spectacular at times, but the Jazz have lost two in a row and five of their last seven, so they're not exactly playing well at the moment. Look for the Paul/Griffin duo to guide the way and help the Clippers to a win and ATS cover for backers.

With your NBA picks, consider rolling with LA inside the Staples Center. It's been a less-than-ideal start for this team, but we know what they're capable of when healthy, and we look for them to assert their control tonight.
