The Bulls have surprised in free agency so far, targeting Thaddeus Young and Tomas Satoransky, underrated two-way players with high IQ, way better than what they've done in recent years.

Thaddeus Young agreed to a three-year, $41 million deal while Tomas Satoransky will join the Bulls on a three-year, $30 million contract via sign-and-trade with the Wizards.

Young and Satoransky missed a combined three games last season. Young missed one game, the last one of the regular season, with the Pacers already having the No. 5 seed wrapped up while Satoransky missed two games for the birth of his child in February, so neither missed a game because of injury.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

In Thaddeus Young, the Bulls get a high motor, high effort guy on both ends.

He embarrasses Kevin Love here.

(📹 via @BleacherReport)

pic.twitter.com/yqxoHWXIKc
— Ryan Heckman (@RyanHeckmanFS) July 1, 2019
"}[/]

Bulls Roster & Starting Lineup With at Least One More Signing Coming From Room Exception:

*Notates expected starter

C: *Wendell Carter Jr, Daniel Gafford, Cristiano Felicio
PF: *Lauri Markkanen, Thaddeus Young
SF: *Otto Porter Jr., Chandler Hutchison
SG: *Zach LaVine, Denzel Valentine, Antonio Blakeney
PG: *Tomas Satoransky, Coby White, Kris Dunn (the Bulls are trying to trade him)

Thaddeus Young was one of 12 finalists for the NBA's Teammate of the Year Award, he's credited for keeping the Pacers together Victor Oladipo's season-ending injury and he helped make Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis better.

Young's durability stands out, he's played at least 73 games in 10 of his 12 seasons in the league, all 82 once and 81 in each of the last two seasons, which should be welcomed by an injury-plagued Bulls team.

Young (plus-2.9 Box Plus/Minus) was very effective, averaging 12.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals in 30.7 minutes over 81 games last season.

Tomas Satoransky started 54 games for the Wizards last season and the Bulls have been after a starting point guard for some time.

Satoransky will get that opportunity in Chicago, he's 6' 7" and he's played point guard, shooting guard and even some small forward in his three seasons with the Wizards.
