Get ready for what's sure to be a thrilling matchup between LeBron and the Cavs and CP3 and the Clippers. Who are we recommending with our sports picks for Thursday?

Odds Overview
Using multiple books is a great way to find weak spots in the NBA odds and get the the best possible number. Tonight, the Cavaliers are favored by either 4.5 or 5 points, depending on the sportsbook.

A total of 207 suggests we'll see a high-scoring affair, and that's fair to assume considering how much elite talent (LeBron, Love, Paul, Griffin, Irving) will be out there on the court tonight. It should arguably be the most entertaining game of the entire four-game Thursday slate.

Cleveland Cavaliers
Now that the Hawks have lost, guess who's next in line as the NBA's hottest team? The Cavaliers have been on a crazy good roll lately, having won 11 straight games heaidng into tonight's date with the Clippers. Overall Cleveland is 30-20 on the year, which has them tied for fourth alongside Chicago in the Eastern Conference standings.

The Hawks have been able to build up some separation following their amazing winning streak and are the clear lead dogs in the conference right now. However, it still wouldn't be all that surprising to see the Cavs make a run at that top seed in the second half of the season. With the way Cleveland's been playing, you wouldn't put it past them right now.

LeBron appears healthy and is playing like himself again, and both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love have gone off separately themselves too. The additions of J.R. Smith, Iman Shumpert and Timofey Mozgov are beginning to show their colors, and so far the signs have been mostly positive. Smith has provided a scoring punch, Shumpert is a good defender, and Mozgov appears to be improving, and there's no better place for him to learn than alongside the best player in the game.

Los Angeles Clippers
The Clippers lost their last time out and have dropped two of their past three, but they're still a formidable foe in the grand scheme of things. They're 33-16 overall and currently hold the fifth seed in the highly competitive Western Conference. It's a dogfight out west, so each and every win is important from here on out.

Doc Rivers can't be all that pleased with what he's been seeing lately, though. The Clippers just dropped a game to a Nets team that's going through an identity crisis, and they also lost to the Pelicans back on Friday night too. They did however go into San Antonio and destroy the Spurs, who were at full strength. That's a perfect summation of what LA brings to the table: the Clippers are very inconsistent, but they're capable of beating the best when on their game. Just ask the defending champs.

Chris Paul and Blake Griffin remain healthy and in sync, so it's mostly going to come down to the supporting parts. DeAndre Jordan has elevated his game too, though he still brings little to the table offensively, and then the Clippers have a number of good shooters who can get hot at any given moment. Rivers will be hoping that happens here this evening.

NBA Pick
We have a good feeling about Cleveland in this situation.

The Clippers have been doing well this season, but they haven't been their dominant selves, especially out on the road. This is not a good spot for them, up against a Cleveland team that's finally healthy and ready to start going on a run.

While we do expect it to be a back-and-forth game with some lead changes, in the end we feel the Cavs will emerge victorious while also covering for backers who took them on the spread too. Take Cleveland as your NBA pick to win by five or more on their home floor tonight.
