The Pistons are coming off getting worked Wednesday in Indiana, and now they back home to play the defending champs on no rest. Plus, the Cavs have had two full days off, and after losing three of four they should jump back on track Thursday.

Cavaliers vs. Pistons

The Cavaliers are sitting in a somewhat precarious position. With 20 gams to go, they are only 2.5 games up on the Celtics for the No. 1 seed in the East. At this time last season, they were almost ready to lock up the top seed, and after losing three of their last four games SU the Cavs will want to come out here on the road and play the Pistons tough.

However, after the Pistons played Wednesday and got beat down by the Pacers, they have to head home to welcome in a rested and possibly motivated Cleveland team. That’s bad news, especially considering the Pistons have been horrible this season on no rest.

Detroit is just 2-9 ATS this season when playing on no rest and the Cavs on the other hand are 8-4-1 ATS when they’ve had between 2-3 days rest. The NBA odds have been moving more in favor of the Cavs as the sharps realize this is a get right game for Cleveland.

Plus, the Cavs’ last game against the Pistons they got blown out the day after Christmas with LeBron James resting. The last time these two teams played one another fully healthy, the Cavs routed Detroit. Even though that game was in Cleveland, tonight in Detroit I see the Cavs winning by close to double figures.
