After splitting a pair of NBA Picks last night, I am back here on a weekend to release two more of my favorite NBA Picks while we have a nice schedule tonight.

Nets vs. Pistons
Both of these teams suffered losses last night in one possession games, which should hurt a little extra for the Nets, who lost against the Sixers, while the Pistons finally lost to a much more respectable Hawks team. Tonight they play each other from the Motor City, and the NBA Odds have the Pistons at -5, with a total of 196 points.

The interesting part of this game for me is that I don’t think the Pistons have been favored by this much all season! That being said however, I do think the total is actually the safer and more valuable play. At 196, and with both of these teams coming off the back to back, the dog days of January will likely start to take its’ toll tonight.

The Nets are the best team in the league cashing the under coming off of no rest at 6-2, while Detroit is right behind them at 5-3. Since trading Smith, the Pistons’ defense has improved a ton, and with sayings like “form an f-ing wall,” coming from the likes of Stan Van Gundy, you know the Pistons are going to play some defense here.

The under is 4-1 in the Pistons’ last five games as favorites, but the Nets have been the under cashing machines this season. The Nets are 23-13 cashing the under this season, the under is 11-3 in their last 14 road games, and the under has cashed at 8-2 in the last 10 games for the Nets as road dogs.

Bucks vs. Bulls
After watching the Bulls throw one against the Jazz on Wednesday, and after personally seeing them throw up another dud against the Wizards last night, the Bulls are in trouble. They cannot shoot the ball very well, and even though Derrick Rose and Aaron brooks had good games last night, the rest of the Bulls played like garbage. However they get a chance at redemption tonight, as they head back home to play the Bucks.

Milwaukee’s frontcourt should not give the Bulls half the troubles that Nene and Marcin Gortat gave the Bulls last night and with the NBA Odds favoring the Bulls all the way to -7, it’s clear the sportsbooks think this mini slump the Bulls are in is temporary. However the Bulls’ scoring slump could extend into tonight against a solid defensive team like the Bucks. With a total of 194, the Bulls and Bucks have the lowest total of the night, and the under once again looks like a great play.

Chicago has scored 77 and 86 points in their last two games respectfully, and while it could just be a slump we look back on and laugh, it is concerning. While the Bulls normally play well and score well at home, the Bucks are not the Bucks of old. The under is an impressive 10-1 in the Bucks last 11 games, 6-0 in their last six games on the road, and they have cashed the under in their last nine games in a row. With the offensive slump Chicago’s on, as long as they don’t give up 60 points in a half again, the under will be our NBA pick here.
