LaVine is only scheduled to play about 20 minutes, but his return is a welcome sight to a Bulls offense that has already been good lately.

On the other side, the Pistons are coming in winners of two of their last three games and covering three in a row. With the NBA Odds barely favoring the Pistons in this one, I’m laying off this coin flip spread and going with a play on the total of 209 points.

Chicago has been improving their offense lately by playing faster, and it has had an effect on their totals. Chicago has cashed the over at 15-4 in their last 19 games, and while their defense has a lot to do with their total streak, Chicago’s offense could also put up 100-plus at home with LaVine back tonight.

Assuming the Pistons are good or 100-plus as well, I have to think the over is the play here as well. Chicago is giving up 122 points per game over their last five, so the Pistons should have no trouble scoring tonight on the road, despite being down a few guys. Let's look at a high score for our NBA picks in this one.
