The postseason continues and By the Numbers is here to review the matchups, trends as well as the NBA odds. Let's cash a pair of winners today as we begin with round 2.

Wizards (53-35 SU, 45-42-1 ATS) vs. Celtics (57-31 SU, 44-42-2 ATS)

* Boston is 4-0 ATS in their last four games as a favorite.

* Boston is 20-7 ATS in their last 27 games as a favorite of 0.5-4.5.

* Boston is 4-1 ATS in their last five games vs. a team with a winning percentage above .600.

* Boston is 19-7 ATS in their last 26 playoff games as a favorite of 0.5-4.5.

* Washington is 1-4 ATS in their last five road games vs. a team with a home winning percentage of greater than .600.

* Washington is 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record.

* Washington is  7-19-1 ATS in their last 27 games playing on one day's rest.

* Washington is 1-6 ATS in their last seven games as a road underdog of 0.5-4.5.

The Celtics may have played six games in the first-round of the playoffs like their opponent today but the last four were a relative breeze compared to the battle that the Wizards had with the Hawks. Yes, the Green dropped the first two at home to the Bulls but then Chicago's Rajon Rondo got hurt, the Celtics woke up and the rest is history. Boston won and covered the NBA odds in their last four while Washington had to battle tooth and nail, covering the number in just one of the final four games with Atlanta after winning the first two at home. In short, the Celts should be the fresher of the group and they have owned the Wizards recently having gone 5-0 straight up and against the spread over their last five meetings in Boston. This Game 1 matchup could easily see a double-digit win by the home chalk.

The Jazz are 2-1 straight up in LA in this series but more importantly are 3-0 ATS in those contests. In addition, Utah is 6-2 ATS over the last three seasons against the Clippers in games played at the Staples Center. If Chris Paul hadn't put on his Superman cape in Game 6 then we wouldn't even be talking about Game 7. Let's stick with the trends and include the Jazz in our NBA picks for Sunday afternoon.
