The NBA Odds for this one have the Wizards as -4 ½ favorites, with a total of 185 ½ points. Which team will carry over the momentum, and which will fall back down to earth? Read on to find out where we are looking to place our NBA picks in tonight's matchup.
The Bulls are coming off of a triple overtime win against the Magic a few nights ago, while the Wizards are coming off of an even bigger win, where they trounced the defending champions in Washington.
The Bulls’ win wasn’t as impressive as it was entertaining. Without Luol Deng and on the road, the Bulls fought and clawed their way back from a 4th quarter deficit to tie the game and push it into several overtimes. Joakim Noah played like a man among boys, and Jimmy Butler played a franchise record 60+ minutes in the entire game.
The Wizards jumped onto the Heat in the early stages of the game a few nights ago, and never looked back. The Heat looked disinterested and Washington built a huge lead by the end of the 1st quarter. After just 12 minutes of play, the Heat were down 43-18, and even though the Wizards let the Heat climb back into the game in the 3rd quarter a strong 4th quarter finish propelled them to victory.

The Sharp Pick
The first time these two teams hooked up this season was just this past Monday in Chicago, and the Wizards had another good win there, limiting the Bulls to only 88 points. Without Deng, the Bulls’ defense is obviously going to suffer, but already without Rose, and now without Deng, the offense of Chicago might suffer even more.
The Bulls have no #1 or even #2 scoring options left on their roster, and even before the Deng trade they were one of the worst scoring teams in the NBA. Now they might fall even further into the offensive basement, and as we saw from their game against the Wizards four nights ago, good defensive teams are going to clamp down on the short handed, and seemingly tanking Chicago Bulls.
In their last four games against one another from Washington, the under has cashed in all four games, and I see that being the play here tonight, The NBA Odds have already trended upward for us, giving extra value to the under tonight, and I see 185 ½ being a bit too high.
The Bulls can still play solid defense, and they will not allow the Wizards to rack up another 100-point game on them. On the season, Chicago is only giving up 89 points per game against Eastern Conference opponents, and with neither team wanting to get up and down and run a lot, this could be a very slow and half court game.
Both the Wizards and Bulls rank in the bottom third of the NBA in pace and offensive efficiency. While John Wall will likely have a pretty solid game, I doubt any other player from either side puts up eye-popping stats or scoring tonight. I’m seeing a final score of about 95-87, making the under my best bet for this game.
My Pick: UNDER 185 ½
