Chicago Bulls vs. Cleveland Cavaliers (-3-) 7:35 ET TNT
Chicago Bulls visit Cleveland tonight, looking to avenge an earlier 114-108 home court loss to Cleveland.  A recent downturn has dropped Chicago to 27-15 SUon NBA odds line .  That’s still good for 4th place in the Eastern Conference.  But, it is Cleveland that has greatly underachieved expectations this season with a 21-20 SU mark which leaves them clinging to 6th place in the conference race.  Let’s take a look at the make-up of each team to determine tonight’s ATS winner.

Check out our NBA Picks of the Day and cash some extra bucks.

With the return of LeBron James from injury, Cleveland returns from a West Coast swing in which they defeated both the Lakers and the Clippers over the weekend.  Those victories snapped a 2-10 SU ATS slide which roughly correlated to the injury of LeBron James. During that timeframe, Dion Waiters was shipped to OKC, their best rebounder Varejao, was lost to injury for the season and acquired Shumpert, from the Knicks, still has not played a game in a Cleveland uniform.  Tonight, all-star forward, Kevin Love, is listed as questionable with a back injury.   But, those roster issues pale in comparison to the chemistry problems of this team.  First year NBA HC Blatt last coached in Israel.  His international style has left him ill-prepared for both the rigors and the egos of the NBA.  As a result, dissention continues to mount between the players and the coaching staff.  There is little flow to the offense and the defense is allowing more than 100 PPG.  In short, at the half-way point of the NBA season, Cleveland has clearly failed to meet expectations.

On the other bench is a veteran Chicago team.  In the last couple years, Chicago has learned to adjust to playing without PG Rose.  He is now healthy for this game and well integrated into the team concept.  Though Noah and Dunleavy are both expected to miss time once again, look for the Bulls to compensate for their absence.  Rose and Butler are one of the better guard combos in the NBA.  The addition of Gasol upfront is a major positive, as he teams with Gibson on a respectable front line.  Most importantly is the fact that HC Thibodeaux continues to be in control of this team, resulting in great continuity, unity and chemistry.  That has played out with Chicago being once again one of the best road teams in the NBA at 15-5 SU.

That home record of Chicago is far superior to the 11-9 SU, 7-13 ATS mark of disjointed Cleveland on their home court.  On Saturday night, the Bulls lost a home game to surging Atlanta.  Along with 114-108 revenge from an earlier meeting, those are strong motivating factors for a road team as good as Chicago to get this victory so bet on Bulls with your NBA picks tonight.
