Having won eight straight games, the Warriors just cannot stop winning as they get set to take on the Bucks on the road. Will Golden State cover as the NBA odds-on favorites?
Warriors vs. Bucks: NBA Betting Odds Overview
The Warriors will be looking to parlaying last night's impressive road win over Memphis into another victory, this time in Milwaukee. The NBA odds board shows Golden State favored by five points on the road.
The O/U is at 199.5 points right now, but there's still plenty of time for the lines to move. Keep checking back on SBRodds.com so you can track the NBA odds and make sure you get the best possible number.
The month of March has been a disaster for the Bucks overall, but they have at least managed to win two consecutive games ahead of tonight's visit of Golden State. Prior to those two wins in a row, Milwaukee had dropped six straight, so Jason Kidd's crew really needed to get back on track.
We last saw the Bucks take the court Thursday in a 111-107 win over Indiana. Some may have expected a defensive struggle and a low-scoring final, but it was the exact opposite, as both teams had a ton of success offensively. Milwaukee shot 53.4 percent from the field overall and 47.4 percent from beyond the arc, with all five starters scoring at least 12 points apiece. It was the Ersan Ilyasova show mostly, as he dropped 34 points on 12-of-14 shooting to go with six rebounds, two assists and two steals.
The wins need to keep coming for the Bucks, as they're in a precarious position in the Eastern Conference standings all of a sudden. There are a number of teams on their trail and within striking distance.
Golden State Warriors
Who's been the best team in the NBA this season? That would be the Warriors, who have a stellar 59-13 record. They are red hot heading into tonight's game, winning eight straight games while beating teams like Memphis, Portland, Washington, Atlanta and New Orleans along the way.
We saw just how dominant this team can be last night in Golden State's 107-84 road win over the Grizzlies. The Splash Brothers showed up to play one again, with Stephen Curry exploding for 38 points, 10 assists, three steals and a block and Klay Thompson hitting 10-of-17 shots (with six threes) on his way to 28 points himself. That duo hit an amazing 14 threes combined in the win over a top defensive team in Memphis, certainly no easy feat.
Will we see an encore performance tonight? Curry was the only player who logged over 30 minutes for Golden State last night, so tired legs may not be too much of a factor after all. Regardless, the Bucks still have plenty of motivation and will want to put on a good show, so the Warriors will have to show up focused from the opening tipoff.
The Warriors are on a crazy good roll right now and we expect them to keep it going tonight in Milwaukee.
What we like most about Golden State is the depth. Kerr has been making it a point to try and rest up his top guys whenever possible, but that hasn't stopped the Warriors from piling up the victories, as the bench has stepped up and filled in admirably when necessary. To showcase how deep this team is, David Lee, who was a huge part of the team's success last season, can barely get on the court this season.
So while some may be a little hesitant to back Golden State on the tailend of a back-to-back set, on the road no less, we think Kerr's group is well-equipped to handle this spot. Of course, it helps that Milwaukee has been struggling mightily this month. With your NBA picks, consider taking the Warriors to win by at least five this evening.
