The NBA-best Milwaukee Bucks open a three-game road trip Sunday night in San Antonio looking to complete the season sweep.

They recently finished their annual Rodeo Road Trip at 1-7 – the worst mark in franchise history. At home, the Spurs are an excellent 25-7 and have won their past seven there, including over good teams Oklahoma City and Denver.

San Antonio will be well-rested here as it hasn’t played since a rare road win Wednesday, 111-104 at lousy Atlanta. LaMarcus Aldridge had 32 points, but you expect that from the All-Star. The line of the night was from young point guard Derrick White, who could be a breakout star in 2019-20. He was 8-for-11 from the field for 18 points along with nine assist, six rebounds and six blocks – six blocks for a 6-foot-4 point guard! The blocks tied a franchise record for a guard, and White became the first player in NBA history under 6-foot-7 with at least 18 points, nine assists, six rebounds and six blocks.

No teams find quality point guards out of nowhere like the Spurs (Tony Parker, Patty Mills, Dejounte Murray, etc.). White was the No. 29 overall pick in 2017 out of Colorado. He has missed a chunk of games this season injured.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

Six scored in double figures as we got it done on the road tonight!

Highlights 🎥 pic.twitter.com/ZDg4Q4KZ7E
— San Antonio Spurs (@spurs) 7 de março de 2019
\n"}[/]

Bet Spurs Or Bucks ATS?

Milwaukee is in the second of a back-to-back after hosting Charlotte on Saturday and it’s the team’s third game in four nights. Thus, I wouldn’t be shocked if superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo gets this one off. The team has rested the Greek Freak in similar situations this season. It’s the start of a three-game trip for the Bucks, who are an NBA-best 23-11 on the road but have lost their past two.

Always tough to know which Bucks team shows up. The one that was swept this season by atrocious Phoenix as a 13.5-point favorite in both? The one that lost at home to the likes of Memphis and Orlando and at the Knicks? Or the one that has beaten every powerhouse in the league at least once? In the second of a back-to-back, the Bucks are 5-4 this year.

On Nov. 24, the Bucks were 9.5-point home favorites and beat the Spurs 135-129 – that was also the second of a back-to-back for Milwaukee, which had been shocked the night before at home by Phoenix. Antetokounmpo had 34 points and 18 rebounds, and the Bucks overcame an 11-point deficit in the fourth quarter vs. San Antonio. DeMar DeRozan scored 34 points to lead the Spurs.

The Spurs have lost their past two at home in this series, but are well-rested and the Bucks won’t be. Then there’s the potential for Milwaukee resting a key guy or two. Take San Antonio ATS.
