The Central Division rival Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers close out their pre-All-Star break portion of the schedule against one another Wednesday from Indianapolis. Both are on six-game winning streaks of one sort or another.

The Pacers would be leading or nearly so in every other division in the league but figure to finish no better than third in the East’s regular-season standings behind the Bucks and Toronto Raptors.

Wednesday is Milwaukee’s final visit of the season to Indiana, although it’s quite possible the teams could meet in the Eastern Conference semifinals if the Bucks finish with the top seed and the Pacers at No. 4 and then both win their first-round series (assuming chalk holds elsewhere).

The teams have split their two meetings thus far, with Indiana winning the past four at home in the series. It was 113-97 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in the most recent meeting back on Dec. 12. Indiana still had star guard Victor Oladipo then, although he was held to 12 points. Thaddeus Young had 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Myles Turner added 23 points. Giannis Antetokounmpo had just 12 points and was a team-worst minus-31 for Milwaukee.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

THERE IT IS 🏹🏹🏹 @WessyWes23 pic.twitter.com/dJdoL9W04u
— Indiana Pacers (@Pacers) February 12, 2019
\n\n"}[/]

Bet Bucks Or Pacers ATS?

Both teams are different from the last meeting as of course the Pacers lost their All-Star guard Oladipo to a season-ending injury on Jan. 23 vs. Toronto. Indiana lost its next four games but has since rebounded to take the past six.

The Pacers also added swingman Wesley Matthews, who was bought out by the Knicks after coming to New York in the Kristaps Porzingis trade with Dallas. Matthews had plenty of suitors but chose Indiana because Coach Nate McMillan promised him a starting spot.

Milwaukee acquired Nikola Mirotic from New Orleans at the trade deadline, but he has yet to debut with the club due to a calf strain. It’s thought that he’s close, but it makes sense for the Bucks to sit him Wednesday as well and then give him the All-Star break to get fully healthy. This is the last game for both teams before their break.

Both come off wins Monday, with the Pacers beating visiting Charlotte 99-90 for that sixth win in a row. Matthews had eight points and five rebounds in 30 minutes in his debut. No team has held opponents under 100 points more than the Pacers, who, as you would expect, are No. 1 in scoring defense at 102.8 ppg.

Milwaukee had a six-game winning streak shockingly end Saturday at home vs. Orlando – although the Greek Freak was out -- but bounced back with a 13-point win in Chicago on Monday. Antetokounmpo scored 29 points and had 17 rebounds. He’s dealing with a bit of a sore knee so the All-Star break is coming at a good time.

The Bucks’ 42 wins already are a franchise record prior to the ASB. Their six-game road winning streak is the team’s longest since six in a row in the 2009-10 season.

Bucks are 0-4 ATS in the last 4 meetings in Indiana.

Pacers are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.

Should be a great and likely lower-scoring matchup, but back the Pacers as they are playing with confidence and have covered their past four at home. Indiana is an excellent 17-12 ATS overall at home.
