Both the Blazers and the Magic are struggling heading in to their non-conference matchup on Friday down in Orlando. The sportsbooks have the Magic as +3 ½ home dogs with a total of 209, and I think the books are leaving some room for value on the Friday slate.

Despite the Blazers losing five of their last six games, they broke their losing streak against the Heat on Wednesday, and now they are upstate on Friday to play Orlando before heading up the coast to play Charlotte tomorrow night.

This is a very winnable game for the Blazers in many ways, and if Jusuf Nurkic is able to play, it might be even better odds for them to get the win. Nurkic has been on the shelf for the last three games, but he got upgraded to questionable, which essentially means he’s a game-time decision.

If Nurkic is able to play or not, I think the Blazers are the wager to make on Friday night. Evan Fournier is still out for the Magic and we don’t yet know if Aaron Gordon is going to be cleared from his concussion to play tonight. With the Blazers potentially owning three of the best four players on the floor if Nurkic plays, this is going to be a rout.

The Blazers have done well this season on the road. They are 7-4 ATS away from the Moda Center, and they are 4-3 ATS on the road against the East.

Portland came into town last season in a similar spread and won by nine points, and I’m seeing a similar win for them tonight.
