The Blazers are coming off a nice win Tuesday, but they have a tough path to a victory tonight as they play on no rest against the Bulls. For your NBA picks, the total has the most value.

Wednesday NBA: Bulls vs. Trail Blazers

Free NBA Pick: Over 213

Best Line Offered: 5Dimes

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":3264482, "sportsbooksIds":[19,1096,238,169,180], "LineTypeId":3, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]

The Bulls will have to play tonight without rookie sensation Lauri Markkanen due to a personal issue that has the Finnish big man back in Chicago. Without him, Nikola Mirotic will likely earn a start, while Bobby Portis could play big minutes off the bench at power forward and center.

That being said, the Bulls have become a tougher matchup lately. They still have the ability to score and compete in this one, even with Markkanen and Kris Dunn out of the lineup. However, without those two guys, there is no way I’m taking the points with my NBA picks. Instead, I really like the "over" on the NBA odds board because of the Bulls’ defense. Chicago has allowed 112.4 points per game over their last five, and they are giving up nearly 113 points per game on the road this season.

The Blazers have been hot offensively, averaging 110.4 points over their last five games. They also are averaging 108 points per game in their last three at home against Eastern Conference opponents.

The Bulls have cashed the under in three straight, but they are 4-2 cashing the over in their last six non-conference matchups, including a 124-120 loss to these Blazers at home on New Year’s Day. Portland is 5-3 cashing the over this season when playing on no rest, and they have cashed the over in 10 of their last 15 games overall.
