Joe Johnson is on the verge of making an NBA return. Many teams are interested in him and he could be the first player to make the transition from The Big3 back to the NBA.

Per ESPN's Marc J. Spears, Joe Johnson will work out for the 76ers today and is also scheduled to meet with the Clippers, Bucks and Nuggets. Johnson and his team, the Triplets, are playing the Killer 3's in the Big3 Championship Game in Los Angeles on Sunday. Former NBA Champion Stephen Jackson, Josh Powell, C.J. Watson and Eddy Curry are all part of the Killer 3's while Johnson's teammates include Al Jefferson, Jannero Pargo, Jamario Moon and Alan Anderson.

Johnson could not be stopped during his first season in the BIG3. He was named the BIG3's MVP after leading the league with 21.9 points and 3.9 assists per game in the regular season and finishing third with 7.5 rebounds per game. Iso Joe set the BIG3 single season points record (175) in his first year in the league and he was unstoppable again on Sunday, scoring 26 points with five rebounds and three assists in a 50-39 win against the 3-Headed Monsters.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

Joe Johnson (@TheJoeJohnson7) DOES IT AGAIN!

The Triplets will face off against the Killer 3s in the #BIG3Championship next Sunday in Los Angeles! ;/a>
— BIG3 on CBS (@thebig3) August 25, 2019
"}[/]

It was not surprising that his fellow players and coaches voted Johnson this year's BIG3 MVP after leading the Triplets on a championship run in the team's inaugural season.

Iso Joe Johnson joining the BIG3 was one of the bigger storylines of the season and he delivered in his first game, exploding for 27 points, 16 rebounds and four assists while making three 3-pointers in 50-40 win against the Aliens. He has not looked back since and he will likely return to the NBA.

The seven-time NBA All-Star played 17 seasons in the league, averaging 16.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 1276 games (1091 starts) for the Celtics, Suns, Hawks, Nets, Heat, Jazz and Rockets and many, including me, believed he should still be in the league. Johnson definitely deserves one last shot at an NBA Championship and he clearly can still play well and be a solid contributor for a contender.

Odds To Win The NBA Championship
(Courtesy of 5Dimes)

Los Angeles Clippers +390

Los Angeles Lakers +445

Milwaukee Bucks +635

Houston Rockets +725

Philadelphia 76ers +800

Golden State Warriors +1150

Utah Jazz +1300

Denver Nuggets +2000

Boston Celtics +2700

Portland Trail Blazers +4000

Brooklyn Nets +5000

Indiana Pacers +5000

Toronto Raptors +7000

New Orleans Pelicans +8000

San Antonio Spurs +8500

Miami Heat +9000

Dallas Mavericks +9000

Orlando Magic +22500

Sacramento Kings +25000

Atlanta Hawks +27500

Detroit Pistons +28500

Minnesota Timberwolves +30000

Oklahoma City Thunder +33000

Chicago Bulls +50000

Phoenix Suns +55000

Washington Wizards +100000

New York Knicks +100000

Memphis Grizzlies +100000

Cleveland Cavaliers +150000

Charlotte Hornets +200000
