Our NBA handicapping professional previews Friday’s game between Charlotte and Chicago. Be sure to read this revealing preview article first before making a move with your NBA picks on this game.

Hornets Fly Into the United Center
The Bulls and Hornets will meet for the second time this season on Friday night. The opening tip at the United Center in Chicago is slated for 8:05 PM ET. According to the NBA odds at Heritage, Chicago is a 6.5-point favorite, and the posted total is 200.

Big Time Revenge
The first time these teams met this season was on 11/3 in Charlotte, and the Hornets shockingly blew out the Bulls as a 3-point underdog by a score of 130-105. Prior to that win, the Hornets scored 94 points or less in their first three games of the season, and were shooting an awful 39.1%. The Hornets were an unbelievable 14-for-23 from beyond the three point line in that contest. Putting that shooting performance into perspective, the Hornets are converting on only 35.4% of their three point attempts this season, and that includes that outlandish display they put on against Chicago.

I’ve never been a huge proponent of revenge in the NBA. However, when a quality team such as Chicago gets thoroughly embarrassed like they did at Charlotte, I cast a bit of weight to the revenge factor in that specific instance. After all, it’s not look the Bulls are a bad defensive team, it’s quite the contrary. Chicago has held opponents to 41.2% shooting from the field, and allowed them to convert on just 31.9% of their three point attempts.

Final Thoughts and Pick
I look for Chicago to put an extra emphasis on their play at the defensive end of the floor tonight. Quite frankly I think they’re a bit undervalued tonight, and most of that certainly stems from their earlier game played against Charlotte. The Bulls won’t only be sharp defensively on Friday they’ll shoot the lights out early and often. I like the home favorite to win this game by a decisive margin, and one of my NBA picks for Friday will indicate exactly that.

NBA Picks: Play on Chicago -6.5 (-105) at Heritage

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":2882592, "sportsbooksIds":[1096,19,93,92,238,349], "LineTypeId":1, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]
