NBA odds came out with a very small line for this game but I'm going to grab the points with New York and look for them to take this to the wire or pull off the upset.

NBA Pick: Knicks +1
Best Line Offered: at Bet365

Chicago Bulls vs. New York Knicks
NBA odds have come out making New York a +3 underdog. For one of my selection today I will grab the points and look for New York to give Chicago all they want. This will be the first time they have met this year but the Knicks should be looking for a little revenge after getting swept by Chicago last season.

Chicago Bulls
Chicago is averaging 98.8 points per game while shooting 42.5% from the field, and allowing 96.9 points per game on 43.8% shooting from the field. Even with what seems like a little bit of off chemistry Chicago is still chugging along and looks to be a factor in the East. Yesterday they had a really tough game against Detroit so this might be a tough spot for them to come in to New York and play high-level basketball. Offensively they're trying to keep the tempo up averaging 87.2 shots per game which ranks fourth in the NBA. The problem with that though is they have not been very efficient and are only averaging 44.5% on their two point shots which ranks dead last in the league. Surprisingly, they have been pretty solid beyond the arc averaging 36.7% distance which ranks sixth. Defensively right now they are leading the league in opponent shooting percentage and opponent effective field goals. They are also very good in defending beyond the arc at 32.9% which ranks fifth in the NBA. The Bulls have not been very solid on the glass though is he allowed 56.6 opponent total rebounds per game which ranks last in the NBA. This is an interesting team that has some solid pieces and where they may lack in some areas they are one of the best teams in the league in others.

New York Knicks
New York is averaging 97.7 points per game while shooting 42.6% from the field, and allowing 99.3 points per game on 43% shooting from the field. Unlike Chicago they had a much easier time yesterday taking care of the lowly Philadelphia 76ers. They have won three games in a row and it seems that Arron Affalo is completely healthy and playing well averaging 13.6 points per game. Of course the big story this year has been Kristaps Porzingis, however let's not forget this is Carmelo Anthony's team and he is continuing to turn in stellar performances averaging 21.7 points per game. They are far from an offensive juggernaut but they do hit the glass hard averaging 53.8 total rebounds per game, and for the most part they have been able to hang with most everyone this season. Where they have been getting it done is on the defensive end where they allow opponents just 46.7% in effective field goals, ranking fifth, and 30.4% from beyond the arc which ranks second in the NBA. They're defending the perimeter very well as opposed to in the paint by getting out and stopping extra passes allowing just 18.7 opponent assist per game which ranks second in the NBA. For this matchup tonight in Chicago their strengths on defense matchup well with where the Bulls are strong on the offensive side.

Simply looking at the records and overall statistics one might think the Bulls should be favored by just a little bit more than three points. For one of your NBA picks I recommend backing the New York Knicks plus the points because they match up well with Chicago in the areas that will be important this game.
