The Rockets try to protect home court advantage when they host the Rockets in Game 3 of their best-of-seven series. Houston is favored by 4.5 points on the NBA odds board and the total has been set at 214.5.

Game 2 Recap

Kawhi Leonard led the way with 34 points, eight assists and seven rebounds as the Spurs overcame the loss of Tony Parker to even their series with the Rockets with a 121-96 win on Wednesday.

Tony Parker was carried off the court with 8:43 left in the game after suffering a serious left leg injury and he is expected to undergo season-ending surgery

Parker finished the game with 18 points in 26 minutes and the Spurs will miss him in this series because he provided a spark in eight playoff games, averaging 15.9 points and 3.1 assists.

LaMarcus Aldridge scored 15 points after being limited to just four in Game 1 and Danny Green added 12. The Spurs stepped up defensively and held James Harden to just 13 points on 3 of 17 shooting. The Rockets were just 11 of 34 from 3-point range after making 22 of 50 attempts in Game 1.

Betting Trends

The total has gone 'Over' in the first two games of this series, seven of the last 13 games between these two teams have gone 'Over' the total, the 'Over' is 23-19 when the Rockets are home favorites, 32-26-1 when the Rockets play against Western Conference opponents and 7-1 in San Antonio's eight playoff games.

Final Analysis

The total for this game is at 214.5 on the NBA odds board and I like this contest to go 'Over' even with Tony Parker out. The Rockets have scored at least 100 points in six of their seven playoff games, their explosive offense is always fired up at home and James Harden won't shoot 3-for-17 again.

The Spurs finally figured out how to hurt the Rockets on offense and this is a low total, with Parker missing the game, so I'm adding 'Over' 214.5 to my NBA picks
