While the NBA card on this Thursday evening isn’t too stacked, there are still some very intriguing NBA Odds out there right now.

One of them is an NBA Finals rematch between the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs. The NBA Odds have the Spurs as -2 favorites, with a total of 209. Will Miami bounce back from their most recent SU loss, or will the Spurs protect their home court now that they are fully healthy?

Number two

This will be the second meeting of the season between these two conference giants, and in the first meeting, the Heat won in Miami 113-102. Surprisingly it was not Lebron James or Dwyane Wade who led the Heat in scoring in that game, but it was Chris Bosh, who isn’t exactly playing great right now. Bosh went 9-10 in that game for 24 points, and if the Heat get that kind of production from their third option, the Spurs are going to have a tough time winning tonight.

However I doubt Bosh scores 24 points here, let alone going 90% from the field. In the Heat’s last four games, Bosh has only scored 10 points per game, while only shooting 45% from the floor. Even though these numbers aren’t bad by any means, it isn’t enough for the Heat to beat the Spurs tonight, or win a third championship for that matter.

Tonight, the Spurs are going to make sure that Wade and James don’t beat them. I’m sure they will do everything in their power to make those two passers and not scorers tonight. Both can kill you as a facilitator, however it is fully dependent on whether or not Bosh and the other Heat players are making shots. On the road, that’s a tough task.

Tony Parker is back healthy and looking like he is well rested just in time for the stretch run of the season. Even though the Heat defend point guards well, Parker is on another level, and if he is getting into the lane and forcing the Heat’s defense to collapse, the Spurs are going to have a great shot at covering here. Even if Bosh scores another 20 points in this game, that likely means the Spurs have played good defense on the other two super stars on this team, and it will likely lead to a win.

The Sharp Pick

If you include their Finals series from this past season, the Spurs are 2-1 ATS in their last three games against the Heat in San Antonio. San Antonio has won four straight games SU, and in those four games, their offense has been very productive. The Spurs have averaged 112 points per game in their last four games, and although I doubt they get to 112 tonight, the first team to 100 points will likely win this game.

This one could be a bigger defensive battle than some think, so if you are leaning towards the under, I can completely endorse that. The Spurs are both a better defensive and rebounding team than the Heat, so if Miami doesn’t make shots tonight from outside the arc, it should be all Spurs this evening.

The Spurs are 15-10 ATS this season when playing the Eastern Conference, and even though that was against some teams much worse than Miami, San Antonio is still slightly undervalued here at home.
