The Denver Nuggets (10-15) look to stop a 3 game losng streak but wll be hard-pressed to do so as they face the CP3, Blake Griffin, and the Los Angeles Clippers (18-7) at home. See who we like as our betting pick in what appears to be a lopsided matchup.

Tip-off is scheduled for 9:00 pm ET tonight at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.

Odds makers aren't expecting much defense as the Clippers are a 4 point betting favorite on our NBA odds with a high total of 212. This appears to be a very good spot for the Clippers. I don't know if the altitude level can save Denver in this spot.

A Win is a Win
In their last game, the Clippers managed to keep their winning streak alive with a narrow victory over the Indiana Pacers ,102-100.

It wasn't one of the Clippers best efforts, but good basketball teams find ways to win. Los Angeles shot just 43% from the field and just over 60% from the free throw line. Against the better teams, this wouldn't be good enough and Los Angeles know's it. Blake Griffin led the Clippers with 31 points, 16 rebounds, and 5 assist while CP3 had a big game in the form of 20 points, 9 assists, 6 rebounds, and 5 steals. The starters played major minutes as this was a close game throughout it's entirety.

Denver had their own tough battle on Wednesday as they lost to James Harden and the Houston Rockets, 115-111, therefore there is no edge where rest and being fresh are concerned.

The Man in the Middle
You basically know what you're going to get out of Chris Paul and Blake Griffin. Griffin is going to put in excess of 20 shots on most nights, give the Clippers a 20 plus point, 10 rebound effort with very little defense while Chris Paul is an 18 point,10 assist guy that's going to run the offense like a well oiled machine and take the necessary shots when games are close. It's guys like J.J. Redick, Jamal Crawford, and DeAndre Jordan  who are the "x- factors".

Lately, Jordan has been very reliable. There's no question about his ability to dominate the glass when he isn't in foul trouble. Jordan is coming off of a monstrous 15 points, 23 rebound performance against Indiana.

In his last 5 games, he's averaged 16 rebounds per game. Any offense that he gives the Clipper is gravy and he's averaged 15.5 points in his last 2 games. The more production that the Clippers get out of Jordan, the more Blake Griffin can look for his offense. This appears to be the Clippers' recipe for winning. Look for Jordan to have another big game tonight as he faces Timofey Mozgov.

Speaking of Mozgov, he's coming off of an awful 1 point, 6 rebound display against Houston. He's a constant underperformer and the Nuggets will need to look from the bench for production at the center position.

Arron Afflalo
On a team in which Ty Lawson is the only real consistent performer, Arron Afflalo is coming off of two huge game and Denver will definitely take it. Afflalo is very inconsistent as a basketball player. He can give the Nuggets a 2 for 13 shooting performance and then there's games like the last 2 games in which he's come up big,

In his last 2 games, Afflalo is averaging 26.5 points per game and has been money from 3-point land. Denver desperately needs Arron Afflalo to have another big game against the mighty Clippers of Los Angeles.

Denver is still a sub.500 team but hasn't been as bad as most people expected. The Clippers should be the play here, but I'm going to play contrarian and lean towards the Nuggets for my NBA picks, who put a good fight against Houston.
