We’ll take a look at the NBA contest between Charlotte and Cleveland. Read our revealing NBA betting preview article that will arm you with all the important information to make a winning wager in this contest.

Lebron and the Cavaliers entertaining the Hornets
The Cleveland Cavaliers will host the Charlotte Hornets on Friday with the opening tip slated for 7:35 PM ET. According to the NBA betting odds at Bookmaker, Cleveland is a 9.0 point favorite, and the current posted total is 194.5. These teams have met twice this season with Cleveland winning both games. Each of those contests went under the total in extremely easy fashion by a combined 26.5 points. As a matter of fact, the last six meetings between these teams have all stayed under the number the NBA odds.

Hornets Heating Up
The Charlotte Hornets enter this Eastern Conference battle red-hot. The Hornets have won eight of their last nine games, and have covered in seven of those contests. Charlotte has really tightened the screws defensively during their previous ten games. During that time, they’ve held the opposition to an average of 87.2 points, and 38.9% shooting from the field. Unfortunately they’ve hit the wall offensively during their previous four games, averaging just 87.8 points, and shooting a dismal 36.8% from the field. As a result, all four of those contests went under the total, and there was an average of only 170.3 points per game scored.

Cavaliers returning to Form
After sustaining a painful 0-6 SU&ATS stretch, Cleveland followed that up by going 4-0 SU&ATS in their next four leading into tonight. They’re coming off a 106-92 home win over Utah on Wednesday, and that game squeaked over the total of 196.5. That’s not good news for Cavaliers backers considering their team has gone 3-12 ATS this season, following a game that went over the total. One of the flaws of this star studded Cavaliers team has been their lackluster play defensively. Cleveland is allowing an average of 100.3 points per game, and has allowed opponents to shoot a shade under 47% from the field. Despite those unimpressive defensive numbers, they’ve gone under the total in 27 of their 43-games (62.8%) this season.

Final Analysis
There’s a lot of value to be had on the road underdog in this spot. They’re on a winning roll and playing terrific defense. At the very least they’ll keep the outcome in jeopardy right down to the very end, and I wouldn’t be shocked to see an outright upset in this contest. Of course we’ll take the points as an additional bonus for one of our NBA picks for Friday.
