The first game of an NBA TV doubleheader on Tuesday night features Orlando at Toronto. The Raptors have the best record in the Eastern Conference and opened as the biggest favorites on the board at -10.5 on BetOnline's NBA odds. The total is 202.5.

Beasts of the East
The Raptors (6-1) have won four straight, with their only loss of the season coming in Miami. Toronto blew out a terrible 76ers team 120-88 on Sunday night behind 24 points from guard DeMar DeRozan (in just 26 minutes). Terrence Ross added 17 as Toronto scored a season high in points and improved to 4-0 at home for the first time in 11 years. The franchise record for consecutive home wins overall is nine, set in 1999. Toronto is an amazing 39-2 in its past 41 games when leading entering the fourth quarter, including 24-0 at home.

The Raptors are alone atop the Eastern Conference standings for the first time in franchise history. They were expected to be good off last season's 48-win campaign and Atlantic Division title but this good? The only major move the Raptors made this offseason, other than re-signing point guard Kyle Lowry, was trading for Hawks sixth man Lou Williams. DeRozan is 11th in the NBA in scoring at 22.7 points per game. He needs 20 points to pass Andrea Bargnani for third on the Raptors' all-time scoring list. DeRozan has a ways to go to catch No. 1 Chris Bosh.

Toronto is a -220 favorite at sportsbooks to win the division again and a +1000 third favorite to win the Eastern Conference behind Cleveland (-120) and Chicago (+250).

This will be Toronto's second straight game televised nationally in the United States, which is noteworthy because it had just one regular-season appearance on U.S.  national television last year. The only injury worry with Toronto is power forward Amir Johnson. He played just 18 minutes Sunday with an ankle issue but practiced in full Monday and should start. The underrated Johnson is averaging 10.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.

The Raptors are 6-1 against the spread on NBA odds this year and 5-2 'over/under.'

Another Lottery Season for Magic
Orlando was projected to be one of the worst teams in the NBA off last season's 23 wins. So far that projection has been accurate as the Magic are 2-5. Orlando had a two-game winning streak snapped on Sunday, falling 104-96 in Brooklyn. Center Nikola Vucevic had a big night with 27 points and 12 rebounds, while new addition Evan Fournier -- acquired in the offseason Arron Afflalo trade with Denver -- had 19 points.

Vucevic has become one of the East's top centers and is averaging 18.6 points and 12.3 rebounds. He was part of the Dwight Howard four-way deal with the Lakers, 76ers and Nuggets  in August 2012. Vucevic is only 24. The Magic really have some nice young talent. Victor Oladipo had a solid rookie season last year as the No. 2 overall pick. He has yet to play this season due to a facial fracture but should soon. It's not impossible that it happens here as Oladipo did travel with the team. He has been practicing with a protective mask on.  Orlando also has two 2014 first-round picks in forward Aaron Gordon and point guard Elfrid Payton who are getting plenty of playing time. Gordon, who can't shoot a lick but is a stellar athlete, is averaging 6.0 points and 3.3 rebounds off the bench. Payton is averaging 8.0 point, 6.4 assists and 4.0 rebounds as a starter. The Magic obviously are eager to see him next to Oladipo as their backcourt of the future.

Orlando is 3-4 against the spread at sportsbooks this season and 4-3 'over/under.'

Series at a Glance
Toronto won in Orlando 108-95 back on Nov. 1 as a 6-point favorite on NBA odds. DeRozan had 26 points and eight rebounds and all five starters scored in double figures. The Raptors shot only 39.8 percent for the game but outscored Orlando 38-12 at the free-throw line. It was Toronto's eighth straight win vs. the Magic, the longest active winning streak that Toronto has against any opponent. You will see some funky uniforms in this one as the Raptors will wear military camouflage uniforms with sleeves. Tuesday is Remembrance Day in Canada.

Free NBA picks: Toronto minus the points and 'over.' The Magic have covered just three of their past 17 road games on NBA odds against teams with a winning home record. Orlando is 2-5 ATS in its past seven trips to Toronto. The 'over' is 8-2 in Toronto's past 10 against teams with a losing road record. When choosing your NBA picks keep in mind that the 'over' has hit in 11 of Toronto's past 14 at home.
