The Jazz play consecutive home games with 3 days of rest. It is a long term positive trend to play the Utah Jazz at home vs. an unrested Eastern Conference foe. The mile-high altitude of Salt Lake City becomes even more advantageous than usual. With the specific scheduling situation involved as outlined above and the momentum of each team, it is clear that the Jazz are an outstanding play in this matchup. These teams have not met each other yet this season. Each won on the other’s home court last year.  </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Betting Analysis</strong><br /> The Chicago Bulls enter this contest with a record of 26-20 SU, 10-11 SU on the road. They narrowly cling to the No. 3 spot <a href="" target="_blank" title="Cavs Clear Favorite In The East As Dark Horses Loom">in the Eastern Playoff queue</a>, but are only 4 games from falling out of qualification for the playoffs entirely. That is how closely bunched the Eastern Conference Playoff contenders are!  If Chicago continues on their current form, they will certainly have issues.  Since a 4-0 SU ATS run to begin the New Year, the Bulls have gone 4-8 SU, 3-8 ATS. In that time frame, there have been road losses by 15 at Atlanta, 5 at Milwaukee, 9 at Boston and by 27 last night vs. the LA Clippers. The Bulls continue to struggle to find their rhythm under 1st year HC Hoiberg. It does not help that their depth has been altered by injuries to Mirotic, Noah and Dunleavy. Tonight, they meet a team playing with opposite momentum.  </p> <p>Under hard-driving HC Quin Snyder, the Jazz are at last playing at full health and with positive momentum. That is especially true on this floor, where they are 7-2 ATS of late. They are also playing with the confidence of double digit home victories against Charlotte and Minnesota.  It is of great help that Utah has found a rhythm in playing every other day. It is also meaningful that for the first time, Derek Favors, Rudy Gobert and Rodney Hood are all playing together. Hood has been particularly hot of late, averaging 23 PGP his last 5 games. But, the defensive prowess of Gobert and the rebounding of Favors are what make this combination work. The Jazz are currently in 9th place in the Western Conference Playoff queue, trailing Portland by ½ game. This, on its own, gives them great motivation.</p> <p>There is a lot working for this play, including the perennial selection of the Jazz at home vs. unrested foes, as well as scheduling dynamics and team momentum.
