The slumping New York Knicks square up against an Orlando Magic team who lost the front end of a back to back against Toronto. Will the extra rest help the Knicks or will they be a little rusty for this matchup as their offense has really been suffering at the beginning of the season. Stay tuned for our betting pick in this MSG matchup.

Tip-off is scheduled for tonight at 7:30 pm ET at Madison Square Garden in New York City. This game can be seen on the MSG Network.

Extreme Betting Odds?
Oddsmakers think that home court advantage and the extra rest will help the Knicks as the Knicks are a 6 point NBA odds betting favorite and the total for the game is 192. I'm not so sure that I agree with the extreme odds in this game. Orlando is coming off of a 104-100 loss to a 7-1 Toronto Raptors team and managed to be very competitive. The Knicks on the other hand, are still trying to adjust to the Phil Jackson-Derek Fisher regime and rank 29th in the league at just 91.1 points per game.

Tobias Harris
Harris is a solid contributor to the Magic offense, but is known for being inconsistent at times. He's also the type of player that can explode at any time and that's what happened last night as he played a huge game against Toronto. For the game, Harris had 23 points,13 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. You can definitely expect a very confident Tobias Harris come into Madison Square Garden. Players like to make a statement in this historical building and I expect Harris to be a key player in this game.

Under the Radar
He flies under the radar, but the Magic sport a top notch center in Nikola Vucevic. He surely has the advantage over veteran Samuel Dalembert in tonight's matchup. Vucevic brings a lot more offense to his game than the vet out of Seton Hall University. On the season, Vucevic is averaging 18.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 2.9 assists. He'll also give New York a tough time on the defensive end as he's capable of rejecting shots in the paint.

This is an up and coming stud in my book and you can bet that Vucevic will have another big double-double in New York. The Knicks offense will need to show more than they have in the past this season if they want to win this game. The six point betting spread is a total misfire if you ask me.

A Big Game From Melo
The Knicks are one of the better passing teams in the league as their total amount of assists per game indicates. Carmelo Anthony has even managed to get his normal amount of shots under the new offensive scheme. The problem is that Melo has been off the mark, shooting less than 40 % from the field. That said, Anthony is coming off of one of his stronger efforts with 25 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists on 11 of 25 from the field in a loss to the Atlanta Hawks. Anthony needs a similar if not stronger game against the Magic in this matchup and look for a big effort from the Brooklyn native tonight.

Misusing Stoudemire
New York obviously needs that second option on offense and Amare Stoudemire, who comes off of the bench, has shown that he can be a big contributor in his limited amount of minutes.

For the season, Stoudemire averages 11.3 points and 8.5 rebounds in just 24.3 minutes per game. Last game, Stoudemire only shot 2 of 5 from the field and still managed 10 rebounds in 26 minutes. Amare Stoudemire needs to look for his shot more often and Derek Fisher needs to give him more minutes. Will this happen? Probably not and the Knicks will suffer for the poor decision.

Both teams are 2-6 and this should be a tight game. Orlando is getting a lot of points and playing a back to back won't hurt them here. Take the Magic and the points for your NBA picks.
