The Cavaliers are poised to sweep their first round series with the Boston Celtics on Sunday. Join us as we analyse game 4 of the series and serve up our choice NBA picks.

Cavaliers (3-0, 1-0 away)
The Cleveland Cavaliers entered the NBA Playoffs as the team to beat at +240 in 2015 NBA Championship Futures Odds Market, and  they seem to be handling the weight of expectation so far. As a result, their NBA odds have been shaved down to +220 to win the NBA Championships. That said, the Golden State Warriors are the current faves to win it all +200 NBA odds, largely down to securing advancement into the next round following a sweep of the Pelicans yesterday. It's up to the Cavaliers now to do the same to remain abreast of the NBA futures betting market.

The Cavaliers take a 3-0 edge over the Celtics into game 4 on the road. They opened their campaign with a 113-110 win over the Celtics, covering as the 12-point faves at the same time. In game 2, they took the 99-91 win but failed to cover as the 11-point home chalk. Finally, in game 3, they beat the Celtics at home 103-95 and covered as the 5.5-point road faves.

Overall, the Cavaliers have performed up to expectations. Advancement into the next round appears inevitable, not least because historical trends say it is so –  no team has come back from a 3-0 deficit to win a series. The question is whether the Cavs will pull off the feat in a sweep.

Odds makers favour the Cavs at -340 NBA odds on the road, an overwhelming mark of confidence to pull of the feat in a sweep. If that isn't a telling sign the Cavs are the smart NBA pick, what is?

Celtics (0-3, 0-1 home)
Boston Celtics have been outplayed and outmatched in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, despite putting up a respectable fight. Now the Celtics, faced with imminent elimination, go into game 4 looking to avoid the sweep. It would be a moral victory.

With the postseason hanging in the balance of game 4, the NBA betting prognosis isn't favourable. The Celtics are matched as the significant underdogs on the NBA odds board, at +270 to win outright and as the 7-point home underdogs.

Each and every game thus far in the series was a competitive affair with the Celtics giving it their all. One could argue they don't deserve to be down 0-3 in this series. Unfortunately, the Cavs are just that much better than the Celtics and, frankly, they must be running out of ideas about how to stop the Cavs juggernaut.

NBA Betting Verdict:
Are the brooms ready? Probably.

Consensus betting reveals that the public is shading Cleveland on their NBA picks, with 67% backing the Cavs on the money line and 65% backing the Cavs to cover as the 7-point road faves. It's hard to find fault with this NBA betting trend when the Cavs are every bit as good as they were expected to be against Boston. Take the Cavs to sweep the series.
