The Clippers’ star duo of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are expected to play. Here are our best bets for Wednesday's NBA slate (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook, FanDuel Sportsbook, and PointsBet; Pick confidence is based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

NBA Top Picks for Wednesday

Moneyline: Celtics (-110) ★★★★★

What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object? We’ll find out when the top teams from each conference face off in the desert.

The Suns have been blisteringly hot at home, going 12-2 at the Footprint Center. Meanwhile, Boston has produced an impressive 9-3 record outside of TD Garden, the NBA's best road-winning percentage. The Suns have continued to win without Paul thanks to some monster scoring efforts from Devin Booker. Boston’s solid defense will be able to limit the superstar guard, and the fully healthy Celtics will take this one as the home favorite.

The line has moved from Boston -2 to a pick ‘em due to Paul's expected return. This slate is full of significant favorites, and Boston offers the best moneyline value.

Total: Kings-Bucks Under 236 (-107) ★★★★★

Are we sure about betting the Under in a game featuring De’Aaron Fox, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Domantas Sabonis, and Khris Middleton? Yes.

There’s a lot of star power in this matchup, but the Kings are just 10-11-1 overall and 1-5 as the road underdog. Milwaukee is 11-12 overall, but the Bucks are faring much better at home, going 9-5 as the favorite at the Fiserv Forum.

The Over has hit during the Bucks' last five home games, but the implied totals have come nowhere close to 236.5. The Bucks have only played two games with a 230-plus-point total in 2022-23, and the team is 1-1. Conversely, Sacramento has played nine contests with a total of at least 235, going just 2-6-1.

The Under has hit during the Kings' last four road games. This is quite a lofty total, so take the Under.

Spread: Magic +7 (-107) ★★★★★

George and Leonard are back. So Clippers fans and sports bettors should rejoice, right? Not so fast, as the Magic have been surprisingly competent at home in 2022-23, going 7-4 against the spread as the home underdog. The Clippers are 4-4 as the road favorite and 2-3 against Eastern Conference teams.

Leonard hit a game-winner against the Hornets during his last outing, but the healthy Clippers needed his last-second heroics to defeat a severely shorthanded squad. The Clippers’ bench is one of the NBA's weakest to begin with, and the team will be without key reserves John Wall and Norman Powell. The Magic are still without Wendell Carter, but Mo Bamba, Markelle Fultz, and Cole Anthony are back.

Orlando should be able to keep this one close and cover as the home dog.

Prop bet: Poole Over 34.5 Points (+550) ★★★★

Whoa nelly, that’s a lot of points! The Warriors will be without Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins, leaving a massive hole on offense.

It's Poole's time to step up. Poole has been averaging 14.1 points per game off the bench in 2022-23, but that skyrockets to 26.0 over six games as a starter, and he scored at least 30 in two of those contests.

The Jazz surrender the eighth-most points per game, and the Warriors give up the most points per contest on the road. This one sets up nicely to be a high-scoring affair, and Poole can capitalize. The Jazz are allowing the fewest 3-pointers per game at home this season, but they just gave up 78 points on 9-of-17 3-point shooting from Jerami Grant and Anfernee Simons during Saturday’s home loss to the Portland Blazers.

Poole’s prop is set at 24.5 or 25.5 depending on the book. We can get great plus-money odds at FanDuel with a move up to 34.5. That's substantially better than the odds offered at PointsBet for the same prop (+425). It’s time for a Poole party!
