The Chicago Bulls have been pedestrian overall with a 9-13 record, and the team is just 4-8 on the road this season. Meanwhile, the Kings are 8-1 as favorites and 4-1 as home favorites.
Chicago is playing its sixth straight road game while Sacramento returns home after a 123-96 road win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday. The Kings clearly have the advantages of rest and their home crowd, so we’re picking them to win outright and light the beam yet again.
Spread: Pistons +6.5 (-107) ★★★★
The Detroit Pistons are 6-4-1 ATS as the home team and 5-4-1 ATS as the home underdog. The Memphis Grizzlies are 2-9-1 ATS on the road and 2-5-1 as the away favorite this season.
Detroit is hot off a win against the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday, and after taking two days off, they’ll host the Grizzlies with a rest advantage, a situation in which they’ve covered in three of four games this season. Home underdogs have been a great bet overall in the NBA, going 64-49-3 ATS this season.
Upset: Lakers (+115) ★★★★★
Its’ preposterous that the Lakers are underdogs against the Washington Wizards on Sunday. Center Anthony Davis has been phenomenal over his last nine games, posting a double-double in every contest while averaging a whopping 31.9 points and 15.2 rebounds per game.
The Lakers are 6-3 in those nine games and 7-3 over their last 10 games overall. LeBron James is questionable, but even if he’s sidelined, Davis’ dominant play can be enough to lead L.A. to victory. The Lakers lost their first six games on the road but have won three straight away games. We’ll back them in Sunday's trip to the nation’s capital.
Prop bet: Booker Over 34.5 points (+155) ★★★★★
No one is on more of a heater than Booker right now. He’s scored at least 40 points in three straight games, averaging 45.3 points per game on a ridiculous 66.7% shooting from the field. He’s racked up at least 40 points in four of his last eight games and scored at least 35 points five times this season.
The San Antonio Spurs allow the most points per game to opponents this season at a whopping 120.8, and they’ve given up big point totals to Zion Williamson (30), Jalen Williams (27), and LeBron (39) over their last three outings. The Phoenix Suns are huge favorites, but a blowout doesn’t concern us, as Booker needed only three quarters to score 51 points against the Bulls on Wednesday.
