After serving as your Sharp Santa on Christmas Day, I’m back for more NBA Picks on the day after Christmas with a play on the Raptors and Mavericks on Tuesday. Toronto comes in as a -5 ½ road favorite in this one, and that may not be enough for one of the most undervalued teams in the NBA.

Raptors vs. Mavericks

Even though the Raptors have been one of the top teams in the NBA this season in the advanced stats, they are getting very little to no respect outside of Canada. That is a great thing for me though, because I love taking advantage of the sportsbooks undervaluing good teams.

Toronto is one of only three teams that currently rank inside the top 10 in offensive and defensive efficiency, and the Dallas Mavericks are not going to be able to slow them down on defense.

Toronto has been a machine in their five game winning streak both SU and ATS, averaging nearly 115 points per game. Even though Dallas plays at a snail’s pace, which can limit opposing offenses, Toronto has been just as good against slower teams as well as fast-paced teams.

On the road this season the Raptors are averaging 109 points per game, and they have been very good on the road and against the West. Toronto is 11-7 ATS on the road and they are 9-6 ATS in non-conference games.

Considering the Raptors are also an impressive 8-4 ATS on the road against the West this season, the Mavs are being overvalued in the NBA Odds tonight.
