Two familiar playoff foes meet up inside of Staples Center tonight. Will it be LA or Memphis that secures the ATS cover?

Odds Overview

Though the Grizzlies are as tough as they come, they still find themselves as hefty underdogs for tonight. The NBA odds have them listed at as many as 8.5 points. Maybe the fact Memphis is 2-7-1 ATS so far this season has something to do with it.

We can either find the O/U at 199.5 or 200. The OVER is 7-3 in games involving LA and is an even 5-5 split for those featuring Memphis.

Memphis Grizzlies

The Grizzlies have gotten back on track following two straight losses by beating both Sacramento and the LA Lakers on the road.

In last night's 97-86 victory over the Kings, Memphis had too much strength inside, while Mike Conley was making all the right decisions. Zach Randolph posted a 22/10 double-double and Marc Gasol finished with 19 points, nine assists and eight boards. Conley ended up with 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting and nine dimes.

With their first two road wins, the Grizzlies will be hoping they can keep it going tonight, though the challenge presented by the Clippers is on a whole different level.

Memphis has played only one back-to-back set this season. They beat Detroit by three in overtime but then lost by 12 on the road to Dallas the next night.

How will they fare this time around? There's certainly no love lost between the Grizzlies and Clippers, so tensions are going to be high and finding the added motivation to get a win isn't going to be an issue at all.

Los Angeles Clippers

Chris Paul and company just finished up one memorable week.

The Clippers are riding a four-game winning, with all four victories coming against strong competition. They topped Houston n the road and have taken care of Minnesota (109-107), Oklahoma City (111-103) and Brooklyn (110-103) on this home-stand so far.

It wasn't the best of performances against an incredibly short-handed Nets team, but a win's a win regardless. LA shots 51.9 percent from the field and hit on 10-of-23 (43.5 percent) from beyond the arc.

Blake Griffin continued his torrid play with a game-high 30 points (12-of-19 FG), while also pulling down 12 rebounds. Paul was highly effective once again, scoring 12 points to go along with 13 assists, seven rebounds and three steals, while DeAndre Jordan had nine points, 16 boards and five blocks.

This team is clicking right now and will welcome a different type of challenge that Memphis brings. Can LA match the Grizzlies' toughness inside?

NBA Pick

This spot is setting up nicely for the Clippers

Not only have they won four straight games, they face a Grizzlies team that could have tired legs after playing a relatively close one last night. Memphis has the likes of Jerryd Bayless, Ed Davis and Quincy Pondexter coming off the bench, but they don't exactly have the same level of depth as LA.

On paper, the home team matches up well. Paul has the quickness to prevent Conley from doing whatever he pleases, while Jordan has really come into his own this season and will be key to stopping the Gasol/Randolph pairing inside.

The Clippers are really starting to find their stride, having beaten four likely playoff teams in a row. They've been extremely efficient offensively and we believe they'll have too much firepower for the Grizzlies.

Pick: Los Angeles Clippers -8.5
