It is time for another light slate of NBA this Sunday SBR's expert capper has pulled a pair of top plays that will bring profit to your wallet. Read on for valuable NBA Picks.

Bulls at Wizards

Washington’s struggles against opponents with sub .500 records has been well documented, and it has gone past hypothetical because of the tangible results. The Wizards beat the Celtics and the Rockets last week, two of the best teams in the league in terms of record, but also lost to the Atlanta Hawks and their NBA’s worst record.

The Bulls are coming into today’s game with the NBA’s best record since December 8th, having won 10 of their last 12 games. The majority of the Bulls success has to be attributed to Nikola Mirotic returning to the lineup after missing the beginning portion of the season due to facial injuries suffered in a fight with teammate Bobby Portis. Mirotic is averaging 18 points and seven rebounds per game and is leading the Bulls to victory nearly every night because of his scoring prowess. Improved shooting has a lot to do with Mirotic’s success. For his career, he has been a 35% three-point shooter but is currently shooting 48% on the season.

Another key contributor to the Bulls recent success has been the play of second-year point guard Kris Dunn. Last year in Minnesota, Dunn was incapable of leading a team, but this season he has shown how much his ball-handling skills have improved. Dunn is able to create plays for himself and others but will be tested in a matchup with All-Star point guard John Wall.

Wall knows what it’s like to be a young point guard in the NBA and have to figure out how to lead a team. Wall’s game has been predicated on using his speed and quickness to blow by defenders and get to the rim, something that Dunn can try to emulate.

The Wizards will probably break they're losing ways to teams with sub .500 records due to the fact that the Bulls will not be sneaking up on them, the only problem in terms of betting is that the seven points that Washington is favored by is too much.

Lakers at Rockets

The Rockets have emerged as one the best team in the NBA despite their five-game losing streak. The Rockets lead the NBA in point differential, as they are outscoring opponents by 11.3 points per game. The biggest reason for the Rockets success this year, as opposed to years pas, has to be the addition of Chris Paul.

Paul has come in and completely changed how the Rockets can operate on offense. Instead of relying on James Harden to produce the majority of the offense, Houston is putting the ball in Paul’s hand and letting him distribute to Harden and the rest of the Houston shooters when he needs to. Harden is a phenomenal spot up shooter and an even better cutter. Having Paul on the team allows Harden plenty more opportunities to play off the ball and to conserve energy by not having to carry the load offensively.

The Lakers are showing some of the promises that the NBA world expected before the season started and it all starts with the play of Lonzo Ball. The Lakers rookie point guard has still not found his shooting stroke, but has shown the flashes of the brilliant passer that made him so highly touted coming out of UCLA. Ball is averaging 10 points 7 assists and and 7 rebounds per game, and has a commanding control over the offense.

The other bright spot for the Lakers this season has been the surprise play of Julius Randle off of the Lakers bench. Randle lost his starting job to Larry Nance and instead of pouting, he has used that as motivation to become a better basketball player. Coming off the bench suits Randle because he is able to showcase his playmaking skills and create offense for himself and others.

The Rockets are just too much on the offensive and defensive ends for the Lakers and tonight will only stunt the you Lakers growth, but at least look for the Lakers to stay competitive,
