An intriguing match in Philadelphia has the home team favored by a mere 12½ points. Will New York's defense even show up, or is another high-scoring game the expectation?

The last time these teams met was March 15, and the Sixers won 118-110 at New York. Tonight's game is in Philadelphia, and the hosts are huge double-digit favorites on the NBA odds board.

With New York tanking away the rest of the season thanks to the knee injury to Kristaps Porzingis, they have been giving up a ton of points. A lot of those points have come in the first half of games. The Knicks give up an average of 56.2 points per first half on the road, and since the All-Star break it has gotten worse.

New York is allowing 114.3 points per 100 possessions in the first half of games since the break, and during those 16 first halves they have played at a pace of 101.6.

Take a look at their last meeting, when the Knicks led 68-60 at halftime:

Neither team shot the ball particularly well, but it was the pace that ended up winning a first-half total play for us and other bettors who were on the "over."

Since the All-Star break the 76ers have played at a lightning-fast pace of 103.8 in the first half of their games, with a top-10 first-half offense in that span.

Expect the Sixers to score at least 60 points in the first two periods tonight, so lean on the first-half "over" with your NBA picks.
