Detroit has gone 3-0 under the total in their last three, and 5-1 under during its previous six road games. The Pistons enter tonight on a two game losing streak which has dropped their record to 12-11 (.522) this season.

Philadelphia has gone 0-4 SU&ATS in their last four games, and currently is an abysmal 1-22 (.077) for the year. The 76ers failed to cover their last three by a combined 43.0 points. They’ve gone 5-1 under the total in their last six, and 8-2 under during its previous ten games. They’ve struggled horribly on the offensive end of the floor this season. As a matter of fact, the 76ers have scored 95 points or less in twelve of their previous fifteen games. During their last four games, Philadelphia has averaged a paltry 87.8 points scored per contest, and shot a miserable 40% from the floor.

Any team (Philadelphia) with a total of 190.0 to 199.5, that failed to cover in their last three games by a combined 30.0 points or more, and has a winning percentage of .250 or less, versus an opponent (Detroit) with a winning record, resulted in those games going 36-12 (75%) under the total since 1996.

I like this game to be a low scoring affair, and one of my NBA picks on Friday will be indicative of that projection.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Denver Nuggets 9:05 PM ET

Denver has scored 94 points or fewer, and shot 40% or less in six of their previous eight games. The Nuggets have also allowed less than 100 points in five of their last seven games, and that includes giving up 92 points or fewer on four of those occasions. They’re coming off an 85-74 loss to Orlando in the previous game. They will be facing a Timberwolves team tonight that’s allowed 109 points or more in each of their last three contests.

Any team (Denver) which allowed 85 points or less in their previous game, versus an opponent (Minnesota) that’s allowed 100 points or more in each of their last three contests, resulted in those games going 34-12 (73.9%) under the total during the past five seasons.
