It’s another giant slate of NBA Odds action tonight with nearly a dozen games to choose from. I have found two more that I really like tonight, and after splitting a pair yesterday, let’s try and cash in on both of our NBA Picks tonight.
Raptors vs. Sixers
Toronto’s early-season high has finally worn off, and now they are struggling to pick up every win they can. Fortunately for them they get to travel into Philadelphia tonight, where the NBA Odds are firmly in favor of the Raptors at -11 ½ on the road, with a total of 194 ½. While I would love to bet the spread in this game, there seems to be a bit too much risk involved. The Sixers have been playing better, and with the Raptors struggling some, I am laying off.
However the Raptors are much more predictable this season in their totals, especially against bad teams. On the season the Raptors have cashed the over at 23-19 on the season, and on the road they have cashed the over in 13 of their last 19. Even though they have been cashing the under more recently, against a team like the Sixers, they should find their offense again.
As I mentioned above, the Raptors are 16-5 cashing the over this season against teams with winning percentages under 40%, and the over is 7-1 for the Raptors in their last eight games as road favorites. On top of all that the Raptors are 6th in the East at cashing the over at 15-11 versus their conference. Look for the Raptors to get into the 100s tonight with ease and add the over to your NBA picks.
NBA Pick: OVER 194 ½
Pelicans vs. Wolves
While it may not be the greatest matchup to watch tonight, the Minnesota Wolves and Pelicans present some pretty good value in tonight’s NBA Odds. The sportsbooks have the Pelicans as -7 favorites on the road, but once again I am more focused on betting the over tonight with a total of only 203.5. With the amount of injuries to both clubs, it makes the over a good play.
Nikola Pekovic made his return for the Wolves the other night coming off the bench to score 14 points in 23 minutes Pekovic isn’t a great defense, but he doesn’t give the Wolves some more offense in the post. If he can play again tonight and give the Wolves similar production, it will go a long way in betting the over tonight. Kevin Martin is also reportedly close to making his return, and if that’s the case tonight, it just gives the Wolves another offensive weapon. Anthony Davis is also back for the Pelicans, and even though they will miss Jrue Holiday for the nest 2-4 weeks, I don’t think their offense will suffer greatly.
On top of that, both of these team’s defenses are awful. The Wolves have cashed the over in five of their last seven home games, while the Pelicans are 40-19-1 in their last 60 games against teams with a winning percentage of below 40%. Bad teams normally bring out some lazy defense and some good offense, and with a total of 203.5 tonight, that makes the over one of my favorite plays of the large slate of NBA.
