Simona Halep (5) vs. Madison Keys (9)
It has been a good week for the 2014 Wimbledon semifinalist, Simona Halep, with the Romanian reaching this stage of the competition without losing a single set. Grass is clearly not the best surface for Simona, but she can still be a very competitive player on it due to her counter attack skills. On the previous round, Halep faced the 2016 French Open semifinalist – Kiki Bertens – dismissing the Dutch by 6 – 4 6 – 3 in a match where she was just too solid for her opponent.

After a couple of years struggling to find the best balance between power and consistency, Madison Keys is finally living up to the expectations, with the American already inside top 10. Keys arrived in Wimbledon after a phenomenal campaign in Birmingham, where she won her second career title – both achieved on grass. Madison’s tremendous firepower is the main reason for her success on this surface, where her serve is even harder to return. It was far from an easy match against Alize Cornet on the previous round, but Madison got the job done at the end by 6 – 4 5 – 7 6 – 2.

This will be the 3rd career meeting between these two players, with Keys winning on Hard Court while Halep won on Clay, both matches played in 2014.

Despite Halep’s terrific defensive skills and counter attack game, Madison’s firepower should be too much for the Romanian to handle. The American is determined to win her first Grand Slam event and this is a perfect opportunity for her. With this in mind, our suggestion is for you to add Keys to your tennis picks as the best play for this contest.

Venus Williams (8) vs. Carla Suarez Navarro (12)
The five-time Wimbledon champion, Venus Williams, is looking for her first quarterfinals appearance since 2010. It hasn’t been an easy year for the American, who is already 36 years old and suffers from Sjogren’s syndrome – a disease that affects her immune system. Despite all of this, Venus can never be underestimated due to her large experience and aggressive game style. Williams reaches this stage of the competition after an epic victory over the young talented Daria Kasatkina, defeating the Russian by 7 – 5 4 – 6 10 – 8.

Carla Suarez Navarro is for the second time on her career in Wimbledon’s 4th round, with the Spaniard losing on her previous appearance in 2013 against Petra Kvitova. Carla is a terrific baseline player and even though grass is not her best surface, the Spaniard can create some problems to her opponents with her slice serve and solid groundstrokes. After needing three sets on her first two matches against Shuai Zhang and Denisa Allertova, Suarez Navarro had an easier task on the third round against Marina Erakovic, defeating the player from New Zealand by 6 – 2 6 – 2.

These two players know each other well with some remarkable battles in the past. Each player won three matches, with Williams winning the last one in Wuhan 2015 by 6 – 3 6 – 4.

Venus should present herself at a very good level on this match after having one day to rest. Carla can give a good fight to the American but at the end, Venus higher experience and mental strength should be decisive, while Suarez Navarro is known for being mentally fragile. Having said that, our suggestion is for you to take advantage of Venus tennis odds by placing a bet on the American to win this contest.
